Balcony Bog Gardens!

These are not ideal...one should be deeper...but it's working!

I face West, with 4-6 hours of direct sunlight...I move them twice a day to get an extra 2 hours when possible....it's another demonstration of loving your plants. 😂

Enjoy! Check out some of the new growth this year...almost double last year's tallest.

Excited to get Crossing!

3 Potentials to cross.

S. Kermit (Alata x AtroRubea)
S. Morley (Leuco x Mitchellina)
S. Lounge Lizard (Purpurea Venosa x)

Drop your suggestions and tips! It's my first attempt. Hoping all the flowers will open close enough to give me a chance.

Gonna try and collect some extra pollen too for next year. 🍀🤞

Various ones I'm growing. It's spring here in the PNW and we finally had a nice week of weather with above normal temps.

Sarracenia Bogs are new this year...one isn't so enough...but going to see how it goes. The other one I think is perfect depth. Hoping my Dralingtonia will be happy!

Drosera Natalensis, micro-bog. Excited to see how this goes. It's been showing spreading like a weed. Started as 3 plants and now over 15.

Nepenthes various

Another bod idea I had...some like it better than others. Hoping the Flytraps will take. The drosera is coming from no where and the mosses seem pretty happy.

Then my Binata and Filiformis.

The second Binata has been in the same pot for over 3 years. You really don't need to repot unless you want to...they just come back.

Then my Ventrata
Nepenthes × briggsiana (N. lowii × N. ventricosa)

The Ventrata...some of those pitchers, or what's left of them, are over 2 years old.

Thanks for reading! Open to comments and feedback.

This is my first attempt at growing sphagnum moss!

I think it's a bit is a fussy variety....we shall see. It's done well in the last week though, and still seems to be going well.

Curious on thoughts on this...these are 2 seedlings I received last spring, growing together in the same pot. They are separate plants.

The grower had them in sphagnum mixed with orchid bark. It's quite sense with moss on top.

They've done alright, though don't do amazingly (though that's partly a limit of the conditions I can provide without a special enclosure).

For folks with experience seed growing...what are your thoughts?

They're currently in moderate condition because I was fussing with them a few weeks ago...there were a bunch of Capensis growing from the moss and I wanted to get them out and decrease competition.
They'll be gifts for friends.

It's a Aristolochioides x Inermis.

Got this Drosera Madagarensis last week. Planned it immediately in a 50/25/25 peat/Perlite/sand mix.

Put it in a ziplock to support acclimation but it's been hot and I think it fried it.

Don't think it's salvageable but let me know your thoughts.

▲ 2 r/Airalo

My Cousin has been using a esim through airalo for 4 months with no issues but today she went to top-up (plan is still active and there's still data) but when you go into recharge there are no actual options to choose.

She's recharged multiple times before. With no issues.

Help Desk said to get new esim but because hers had a number we would prefer to recharge the existing one.

Any Ideas?
