How do people make friends in Arlington? (Advice??)

Lots of good advice and perhaps even some potential friends out there 🤞Might take a day or two to get through them & reply; and if I can figure out how to do a group chat on here I might set one up for coordinating a low key activity for those of us who are interested in meeting fellow Arlingtonians 😊

I’ve lived here for a couple of years now and I’m wondering if my personality is just a mismatch for the area or if other people are also struggling to establish a local social circle?
I’ve tried Meetups, joined a bowling league, had a Bumble BFF for a while (unsurprisingly, Hinge and Bumble did not yield any close friendships either) and met a lot of really nice acquaintances but no meaningful connections.
Anyone having a similar experience (or previously had a similar experience and wants to share what they did to remedy it)? It has been so nice out lately and it just feels like such a bummer having no one to go on walks, dinner, coffee, or whatever with.
Edited to add that I’m 38F. Realized that’s pretty important since a part of the issue I’m having is that a lot of people I meet at activities are in their early-mid 20s and I just feel like we don’t have a lot in common.
