To see one new was even a rare sight. The regular GM X body cars were everywhere The Chevy Citation, Buick Skylark, Oldsmobile Omega, and Pontiac Phoenix. The Citation and Skylark were what most everyone remembers.

I'm finishing up the final details on the Sport Omega so I can get started on the Phoenix.

Finally ordered the standalone Haldex controller for the AWD system.

The final piece of the puzzle...... I looked at a couple other alternatives and was hoping to find something less expensive but sometimes you just have to break down and buy something from a company that has a solid background. All said and done with taxes, shipping etc and the Euro to dollar conversion rate it was $1090..... I also spent yesterday wiring up the fuel tank pressure sensor to the ECU so that's operational. While I had the sill plate removed and the seat belt end unbolted the cover which was cracked I just cut it back to the point that's still good. Also did a little polishing on the exhaust.

Doing some final detail work

Replacing the cheap eBay center cap emblems because they were delaminating anyway..... So I wanted to give them a more refined/cleaner look. Like the NOS cap I have for the car's original 13" polycast wheels it's silver like the rest of the wheel with a black outline logo. I had a graphics shop make me some stencils. So I painted the caps to match the wheels, tried just the outline logo but I felt it needed a little more. It needed the red inside the logo.... Yeah much better.

And today's project was replacing the rear bumper filler strips as they kept deteriorating. The material that GM used for the fillers didn't survive the elements...
