Fiat coupé, an great idea ruined by football

The fiat coupé is a sports car created by fiat in the year 1994.

The car was designed by Adrian van Hooydonk, yes, the same of the 7 and 6 series from 2006.

The coupé is one of my dream cars mostly because of granturismo ( and honestly I like the blobby froggy headlights ).

But it had many problems.

Fiat was under the Agnelli family, that owned a football club. The family wouldn't give a single cent to fiat to make cars, because of their " football business"

So fiat while making this car, had to do it cheap.

For the chassis they used the one from the Alfa Romeo 155, that gave a great 70/30 that made the car barely drivable with a very exaggerated understeer.

And the cheap plastic made the interior a black slime, perfect for content farms.

A rare driving companion experience in any ecosystem - launching today

Hello,
I’ve been working on a driving app called Speedometer: Driving Tracker for a while, and it recently got approved for CarPlay in the Driving Task category.

That approval process is surprisingly strict - very limited UI, no custom buttons, and a strong focus on safety; so getting through it meant a lot.

The app originally started as a simple speedometer, but over time, I expanded it into something more like a driving companion. It tracks trips, shows analytics, and tries to make driving data more visual instead of just numbers.

Some things it currently supports:

  • Trip tracking with detailed stats
  • Route playback (including 3D-style views)
  • Visual trip sharing
  • Fuel, maintenance, and expense tracking
  • Driving pattern insights and comparisons
  • Video recording with speed + map overlays
  • iCloud sync across devices and backup
  • Privacy-focused (no ads or tracking)

The idea is to offer something beyond what most built-in dashboards show, while still working within CarPlay’s limitations.

Would love to hear any thoughts or feedback.

How are car meets?

Hello! As the title suggests how are car meets? Hopefully this posts doesn’t get any hate. I’ve never been too big into cars up until last year due to my boyfriend who drives a GR Corolla! As for my self I don’t have that money to spend on a fancy car but I’m still very much into cars! (A newbie but ik we all gotta start somewhere) I drive a base model 2017 Lancer and came across a Raliart hood and spent some weekends paint matching it to my car! I’m not sure what people’s opinions are. I’m constantly worried sometimes that people are judging cause “fake evo” “just get an evo” etc.

I’m not posing my car as being any faster as it is I’ve personally always just like the hoods on these cars. Sorry if this posts is quite rambly. Was just wondering if anyone has been in this kind of mental? I’d love to go to car meets but am afraid people will hate on my car. I know it’s not a lot but isn’t the whole point of these meets to look at other cool cars?

Honda City

the exterior/interior looks are just beautiful, engine engineered by f1 technology, had a full motorcycle in the trunk as an option, also they had a one make race for only honda cities.

2026 Audi A6

I finally had the opportunity to experience the comfort and power of this car. The V6 engine delivers smooth and impressive performance, while the ride is incredibly comfortable. The sound system is also amazing, making it one of those cars that makes you want to keep driving.

Oh no whoever could’ve guessed this

Yeah so remember when the slate ev was first announced a few years ago as a pioneer for the electric truck market as a cheap barebones work truck that would start at $19000…

Yeah none of us fell for this right, we knew it would end up being more than that. That’s not what makes me upset, what makes me upset is how much more expensive it is. 27000 dollars including delivery fees, 25000 when not. Angelic excrement bro🥀. That is 5000 dollars more expensive than they originally teased, I would’ve been fine with 2-3000 dollars more but 5000 is crazy.

What do you all think about this

Fiat 131 Abarth - Rally soul for everyday driving

Spotted this Fiat 131 Abarth recently and thought it was worth sharing.

There is something really appealing about how functional these look. It is still clearly based on a fairly ordinary saloon shape, but then you get the box arches, front spoiler, extra lamps and that very purposeful rally stance. It does not feel over-designed — more like every change had a reason.

The 131 Abarth was built for rally homologation, with the road cars using a 2.0-litre twin-cam 16-valve engine and a much more serious setup than the standard 131, including independent rear suspension. The competition versions were developed far beyond that and became a big part of Fiat’s rally success in the late 1970s.

I think that “ordinary car turned serious” character is what makes it interesting. It is not conventionally elegant, but it has real presence.

I’m trying to keep little car-meet spots like this together with notes and background details, rather than just letting the photos disappear in my camera roll. This 131 is exactly the kind of car that makes that feel worthwhile.

El 500 SEC es un buen primer auto?

Tiene estilo, monta un V8, es elegante, me encanta, aunque no sé si es un buen primer auto.
