Anyone else wish car companies still released coupe versions of their popular sedans?

Yes, I know some cars like the 4 series or the charger are still offered as a coupe or sedan, but I feel like those are coupe versions of sports sedans. I want coupe versions of regular economy cars back 🥲🥲

I <3 the new fiat go-kart

My own custom livery. I shared it with the tags "stripes & co", "surfin'", "urban", "vintage", and "street racing" in case you're interested in downloading it. It is just the stickers and stripes on the side so it will go on any color car

What should you do when you feel yourself becoming increasingly left-wing radicalized?

Recently I've noticed that I'm becoming more and more radicalized towards far left ideologies such as socialism, 100% taxes for the .01%, heavy government intervention in the economy, etc. I've always been democratic/left leaning, but I've noticed I have a growing disdain for moderate democrats, liberals and libertarians, and I'm starting to hate their ideologies. Is what I'm feeling normal and/or ok? I will say I'm not a violent individual, I don't have the heart to take violent action and I understand that vigilante political violence is an overall net negative no matter what side does it. I just want what's best for all people, but I don't know if my beliefs are going too far.

Thoughts on the Slate Truck?

I'll be honest, I like the new Slate truck. It's a small, practical, utilitarian, bare bones truck. It's very customizable straight from the factory, it's offered in 3 distinct body styles, and many of the details like rims, headlights, and trim color can be changed. Overall super cool. What I don't like about the new Slate Truck is the price. When it was announced, it was expected to have a base MSRP less than $20k, but now that it's starting production, its base MSRP has rising to $25k. And that's fine, it's still relatively cheap for a brand new car, but it markets itself as having less features than all other modern cars. Like, if I was in the market for a new truck, why would I spend $25k on a slate truck when I can spend $2-3k more and get a ford maverick with a bunch more quality of life features? It would honestly be the perfect EV if its starting price was in the $15-18k range.

Is it possible that there was extrinsic manipulation in the 2026 Wisconsin democratic gubernatorial primary?

Could there have been social media manipulation leading up to the 2026 primary election, specifically with the intent of fracturing the Democratic Party? In the democratic primary, there were 2 candidates that were both very likely to win the election, moderate democrat David Crowley, and Democratic Socialist Francesca Hong, and there is strong polarization between Progressives who voted for Hong and Moderates who voted for Crowley.

Context for why I ask this question will be in the comments.

Kia Souls get too much hate

People like to criticize the boxy design of the Kia soul but I actually really like it, especially the third Gen. I also didn't know that there was a Kia Soul GT Line which actually looks really cool IMO. They also aren't too terrible, reliability-wise, my cousin's 2013 Soul got up to 230k miles before he had to sold it, and he only sold it coz the AC and back lift gate stopped working, the car still ran just fine.

In your opinion, what is the most beautiful car ever made?

  1. 2023 Alfa Romeo 33 Stradale
  2. 2024 De Tomaso P72
  3. 1939 Bugatti Type 57C Cabriolet
  4. 1962 Ferrari 250 GTO
  5. 1954 Mercedes-Benz 300SL Gullwing

Idk if you can tell but i definitely have a design language that i consider the "most beautiful" when it comes to cars 😅😅

What are some of the best/worst looking "regular traffic" cars?

I live in the U.S., so my examples for my picks are going to be cars that I see in the U.S. I know foreign markets also have some pretty butt ass cars but because I don't want to spend all night researching cars I don't regularly see, I'm going to stick to ones that I do see regularly.

My top 3 best looking regular traffic cars in order are:

  1. Second Gen Acura TLX
  2. Pre-Facelift Volkswagen Arteon
  3. BMW 8-Series Sedan

My top 3 worst looking regular traffic cars in order are:

  1. First Gen Subaru Tribeca
  2. Pre-Facelift Toyota Camry XV40
  3. Second Gen Ford EcoSport

I'm interested to see how you feel about my list and I'm curious to see what you consider the best or worst looking regular traffic cars :)

Companies need to stop hiring non-native English speakers for customer service jobs whose main role is talking to native English speakers.

If you are someone who doesn't speak English very well or you have a very heavy accent that is difficult for most American English speakers to understand, that's fine, I don't care. Just don't get a job where you need to exclusively talk to native English speakers. I have no issue with non-English speakers in the U.S., but the amount of times I've had customer service phone calls rerouted to people who i genuinely cannot understand is ridiculous. I know it's because these companies outsource their customer service to foreign companies or hire immigrants for cheaper labor costs but it genuinely makes using customer service impossible sometimes. I promise I'm not racist, nor do I have an issue with any immigrants, I have an issue with not being able to understand someone on the phone while trying to set up Apple Pay or get a new debit card or whatever.

Is it controversial to say that I think the 2013 Nissan 370 nismo s-tune looks better than the 2016 nismo?

I said what I said.

The one day I wear a cool shirt to work is the one day I get acid spilled on me

I was moving a machine part that was supposed to be new and completely empty, but someone put a used part back where we keep the new parts so when I moved it it leaked a low concentration of sulfuric acid on me. It irritated my hand a little bit but I'm mostly pissed because it got on my shirt and basically ruined it

AITAH for turning off someone's alarm in my works break room?

Someone's phone alarm was going off when I entered the break room to grab my lunch. I ate outside but when I went back into the break room about 25 minutes later the alarm was still going off, so I found the phone and shut it off. When I did that someone in the break room told me I shouldn't be touching other people's stuff, especially their phones, but I told him that if you set an alarm and then leave it in the break room chiming for at least a half hour, than you shouldn't be mad if someone shuts it off. He told me he was going to tell HR that I was digging through peoples things (the phone was on a table, not in like a bag or anything) if I did it again. I don't know why he's so pressed by it and how he wasn't also annoyed by the alarm. I feel like 99% sure I am not the asshole but should I have just let the alarm keep going off until whoever it belongs to came back?

Hiked to a little spot on the river for a good smoke after a long shift

Putting in body text because this keeps getting flagged for "low effort" even though it took a LOT of effort to hike to this spot

My first Revit model vs my latest

First one I made junior year of high school (sorry for poor image quality the only image I have is from a slideshow the teacher made). Second one I made my second year of college.

It is really hard to not feel like a lunatic conspiracy theorist in the U.S. with the current political climate.

I have thoughts and opinions on certain things that have been happening recently that the more I think about, sound like something you'd hear on conspiracy theory videos or posts but genuinely I think they are reality. For example, I am convinced the White House Correspondence Dinner shooting was staged. The federal government halts construction on the ballroom in march, saying that it was a federally illegal project and that the only way they could resume construction is if it is for national security. A month later during a large event with several large political figures a LONE gunman somehow gains access to the building, to which the Trump administration then claims that the White House ballroom is necessary for national security. I'm a very scrutinous person so I don't tend to just believe everything is see and I feel like I'm crazy for believing this but genuinely it makes so much sense. I might have got some details wrong in my brief summary of event but the overarching point still stands.

Just finished painting my first warhammer mini, it took about 6 hours over the course of 2 days and I'm still working on the base, it just needs to dry for a few hours. I'd post it when the base is done but I figured the actual ultramarine is the focal point. Im actually really happy with how well it turned out
