How long after your investigator reach out to your current job did you guys receive the call to join the academy?

The new NYPD exam was released today, but the announcement still lists the maximum age as 35. However, the new law raising the maximum entry age to 43 has already been approved.
If someone is over 35, should they still register for this exam even though the exam notice hasn’t been updated yet? Or should they wait until the exam announcement reflects the new maximum age of 43?

I completed my one-on-one psychological interview on June 5, and it only lasted about 15–20 minutes. I received my medical clearance, and I attended processing in Cohoes on April 22.
Since then, I haven’t heard anything from my investigator, and none of my references have been contacted. Every day, I wake up checking my email and my mailbox, hoping for that call or some kind of update.
I’m just wondering how much longer I should expect to wait. Is it normal for the hiring process to take this long?
