Passenger choked me

Picked up this drunk ass lady, she chokes me a few seconds into the ride. I ended still finishing the ride to know where she lives , I called the police and she is probably going to jail soon.

If you're looking to do something, Thursday is a good day. I'm shocked it hasn't been brought up yet.

Updated Rating System (Thoughts?)

Would you prefer the current 1-5 rating system or a binary Match or Unmatch rating system?

Instead of a max of 5-Stars, you would have a % of Drivers/Riders that would to rematch with you in the future. 97% of Riders/Drivers would rematch.

Thoughts?

"Mommy forgot your seat"

Yeah. No.

Mom walks out with the little guy. I don't remember how big my girls were when they stopped riding in a booster, but it was post daycare!

Me: Doesn't he need a booster?

Her: OH, mommy forgot your seat

Lil man: (Mommy, you never bring it.)

She went back to get it. For the driver picking her up later, lil man has his seat now.

Edit: little guy, not little gut.

Scam Call - 4152347600

Sharing.

Confirmed with support, it is not valid. They've tried to call me 4 times this week. I have it blocked already.

Hope this helps someone avoid getting their earnings snatched.

Date night? Heading to work? Be ready before you request the ride

Should I wait?

Driver that accepted is too far!!!

Please cancel immediately. We need passengers to help train ubers AI to stop sending exclusive offers to drivers 30 minutes away.

93 degrees with 46% humidity - No AC

I started sweating when I looked at the preferences. I turned the AC off and was prepared to shed 6-7 pounds on this trip.

I had to ask if his preferences were correct. Luckily, he just didn't want the temp below 67. 69-71 was preferred.

It stopped me from crying.

Please update your preferences and/or speak up.

Riders - Be ready when you order; Uber estimates are bad

This isn't a "I hate to wait for the rider" post. In both of these instances, I was parked/staged less than 60 seconds away from the pickup when the request came through. Uber told the rider one eta, which was obviously incorrect.

The first one took me 45 seconds to arrive. The second was funny because I was parked behind the hotel. Took me a whole 30 seconds to start the car, fingerprint authenticate, and drive around front.

All that to say, be ready when you order. Not everyone is willing to wait. I just laugh with the rider when they get in all sweaty from rushing. Both were airport rides.

Going forward, I will screenshot all offers

The other was for $18.24. I accept and drive the more efficient route to the destination. There was some wait time at the beginning also. The ride ends, and this is what I see. I was shorted $1.60. (Wait time was added for the mathers.)

I call and they won't correct it ***BUT*** they issued 10 points and a $3 miscellaneous payment (not showing). I just want my $1.60.

For Passengers- Why would you cancel when a driver is 3 minutes away?

5 🌟 rating

98 CMT score

330am

You waited 10 minutes. Why cancel now?

(For any drivers wondering why I would drive 13 minutes to pickup, it was on the way to a reservation to start the day, so I was driving the 13 minutes anyway.)

Thanks for the $5.15 cancel fee!

Let's be honest, what should your rating be?

We know we rate people sometimes in hopes of a tip or because we want to "protect our ratings" as passengers. You know yourself best. If you were in the rating yourself from the opposite seat, what would your rating be on 1000 interactions?

I'll start. I'm a driver and passenger

Driver 4.81 (sometimes I'm just cold)

Passenger 4.59 (sometimes I have 1 too many)

Dirt/Gravel/Muddy Roads

Comfort Reservation.

This is from my Dashcam for the last .25 miles. What would you do? Proceed? Cancel?

$13 for 2.2 miles (after pickup)

u/Napitash — 4 months ago

When the map says "It's Surging" and you see this in one little corner

I'll pass. This is proof that the PAX are paying, but we aren't collecting.

Sounds like breakfast with the wifey instead.

Hope everyone has a MONEY MAKING SATURDAY!!!

u/Napitash — 4 months ago

Wishing everyone a great Friday

This is my first 4.5 hours.

  1. Reservation- cancel with full fare

  2. Same pax + tip (airport)

  3. Reservation + tip (airport)

  4. On demand

  5. On demand

  6. Reservation + tip (airport)

  7. $15 surge on a wild one

  8. Airport pickup (it's dead today at the airport)

Quick break and back on the grind.

Feedback from Female Pax - deviating from the route

It's mid-afternoon.  I just picked you up from the airport and we are headed to your hotel 1 town over. You tell me that you have to make a work call and I kill the radio. The route is all rural until we cross the interstate a mile from your hotel.

I am going to deviate from the route and not take the first turn. Why? Unnecessary wear and tear on my tires due to twists and turns AND there are some blind turns.

Should I interrupt you to tell you? Should I just proceed without saying anything?

5 🌟,  99 CMT safety score

Also, the estimated time is the same which I know but you are not familiar with the area.

Help me understand - Another's success

I'm looking for some thoughtful answers. We are in different markets, have different reasons for driving, are at different points in life, and have different priorities. We aren't competing for Uber Driver of the Year (I don't think) or Most Profitable (could be wrong).

Why do we, as a whole, attempt to tear down another drivers success? It may not be my way of managing my business, but why does it matter to you? Would it be better to offer suggestions for continuous improvement versus "calling out" what you think is wrong?

When I see this and no surge, I intentionally shut the app off and drive thru.

Do better Uber. High demand should equal higher pay per ride. No one wants to do a bunch of queued Bait and Slave rides for half peanuts.
