Should try wow one more time

Hey everyone,

I’m looking into whether I should come back to WoW, and I could use some opinions from people who are playing today.

A little history:

*Played the WoW beta back in the day — yes, I’m that old 😂

*Played Vanilla and The Burning Crusade until I got burned out.

*Came back for Legion and absolutely loved it.

*Played Battle for Azeroth for a couple of months, then quit again.

*Came back for WoW Classic and loved it, but eventually got burned out again.

*In between, I switched to New World, which became my main MMO until they announced they were shutting it down.

*I’ve also tried Guild Wars 2 and put around 150 hours into it, but for whatever reason it just never really grabbed me.

These days I don’t have nearly as much time for gaming. I’m a dad now, so realistically I have around 2 hours, maybe 3–4 nights a week.

So the big question:
Is WoW worth coming back to in 2026 for someone with limited playtime?
Can you still have fun and make decent progress playing fairly casually, or does it start feeling like a second job?
Or should I just accept that I’m getting too old for MMOs? 😂
Would especially love to hear from other dads / older players with limited gaming time.
