Mystery Jungle - Costa Rica

Buyer Beware Do not go to this place and give them your personal information or card numbers. They steal
Money from your card and do not return the $300 deposit.
The inconvenience of having to change my card and call my bank was enough for me never to use them again.

Left GLS 450 sunroof open during heavy rains

Hello,

My sunroof was left open during a really heavy thunderstorm. It rained more than I’ve seen in years!! When I finally realized what I had done, it was already too late. My car won’t start. The lights and windows work but when I try to start it, I get absolutely nothing. Please help! I’m hoping that I didn’t ruin my car permanently. Please help. I will tow it to the dealer but I don’t know what to expect regarding price or level of damage.

Traveling to Costa Rica for a month in July with Two Daughters 11 & 18

I have a few questions: We are staying in or near Puerto Viejo.

Should I send myself a $500 - $1000 western union? How long will that last? Is it expensive if I don’t do touristy things? I like to rent an Airbnb and live like normal. Cook my own food and nap on the beach.

Tour Guides: What’s the normal rate?

What scams are they doing over there? How do I stay away?

Car: I am renting my own vehicle. Are the roads primarily safe if I travel by day?

Markets and food: is the supermarket expensive?

Language: I don’t speak Spanish : will this be a problem?

Should I stay I bit in San Juan then travel to Puerto Viejo? Is 1 whole month too much in one part of Costa Rica?

Jungle Life: is it safe for a woman to stay with her girls alone?

Thanks in advance for your feedback: Please add anything else I should know. 🙌
