Downstairs shower or Walk in Pantry?

Downstairs shower or Walk in Pantry?

I have a downstairs loo which measures 2x1.5m. A adjacent storage cupboard that measures 1x1.5m which joins onto the kitchen.

Kitchen living diner is 8x6m and although pantry would be nice, its not essential as already lots of storage in the kitchen.

I was deciding whether to make the cupboard a compact walk in pantry or combine it with toilet for shower room.

4 bed family home, 3 kids. Planning to live here long term.

Upstairs. Master bedroom with walk in wardrobe & 2 children's rooms. Average size family bathroom (4 sharing 1 bath)

Then a loft extension with en suite which older child will use

Any thoughts welcome

Retrofit underfloor heating and lvt

Hi,

Not strictly DIY but wondered if anyone had any experience. Looking to install low profile retrofit wet ufh into the kitchen, diner and trying to manage floor height build up and flooring.

We are keen to have glued lvt. Ufh company have specified that boards are 20mm, 10mm screed/self leveller on top and then ready for lvt (2mm?).

Flooring companies seem keen to lay their own 'finishing' screed which would add to this build up further.

How do people manage this, do you get ufh/builders to leave the finish deliberately low accommodating for the fact floorers will lay more? Or is there floorers out there that will lay directly. Seems counterintuitive to do something twice.

Also, there will be a c.10mm transition between hallway and kitchen, ideally the floor would run throughout. Can lvt installers transition with a steady slope?
