We've used Nikos in the past, but they've just started ghosting us for literally no reason. Can anyone recommend a good accounting firm that speaks English?

As a British domicile plagued by Brexit, my temporary residence permit expires on 1st September 2026 and I'm wondering a few things:

- When should I apply for a new one, I looked on https://aima.gov.pt/pt/noticias/o-portal-das-renovacoes-ja-esta-disponivel and I believe it says that you can only apply if it expires in July and that soon it will be open for those who expire in August. I'm assuming that I'll only be able to apply in either August or September for my expired card. Do you have to wait for some "invite" to renew?

- When it has expired, am I able to still use it for travel between UK and Europe or will I be subject to the Brexit 90 day in 180 days thing? I assume I can travel within Europe freely (Portugal to Italy to Portugal for example) because you don't go through passport controls so nobody.

- How long does it generally take to get it after the renewal request, I assume it's backlogged still and can take anywhere from 1 week to indefinite to receive.

- Using the Renewal Request thing, is it a simple process or do you have to provide a mountain of documents? When I googled it, AI said you'd need various PDFs like Passport, Non-debt certificate, Proof of Social Security Compliance, Proof of Accomodation, Proof of Subsistence etc.

We were playing a game of Blockbuster and the question came up: "Name movies where the Earth is in danger". Someone said "Lord of the Rings" and 4/6 said: errr, that's not Earth.

We've found various things saying that Tolkien originally meant it as Earth, but what are your thoughts, is it allowed?

We've had a load of leaks in our ceiling for ages and a guy has been looking at it and patching stuff up for more than a year now. First it was constant storms and he needed to wait for for weather to do anything, then we were sidelined when the weather was good.

Now it's mostly fixed he quoted me 8 days to have the ceiling taken down, replaced and painted. My girlfriend said she didn't want it doing if it's going to take ages and he assured me it'll be done on 8 days when they start work in 2 weeks from then, so she agreed that was fine and let's get it done.

The dude comes, removes all the ceiling and everything is in a corner with the house stinking of the cardboard he placed down.

He says he'll be back on Tuesday and doesn't turn up, then suggests Saturday as he'll have all day.

How the hell do you get 1x worker to do a full job in a single session without it being stretched over weeks or months? Do you get them to schedule it in their calendar months in advance? do you make them sign a contract that says it will take X time?

I feel like I literally can't do anything about it because there's nobody else to do it.

What gives?

Been saying for ages I need to finally sit down and finish Infinite. Played the original on Xbox 360 and always told people it was one of the greatest games I ever played.

Had Infinite for years but felt I've never quite managed to stick with it stuck with it.

Tonight I finally decided to give it another try. I was thinking, should I start from scratch or continue from wherever I left it, since I attempted a few times.

I thought there's no way i'm redoing the start again so clicked continue and loaded in to the original lighthouse of infinite possibilities.

Confused, I figured I'd check youtube to see how I got to my save point and as I continue to scrub through the timeline I realised that I've already completed it... and not only that, i've even completed the first DLC in 2018.

I remembered everything about the first but for infinite it seems to have been a very forgettable experience. The main bits I remembered were essentially meeting Elizabeth and your first encounter with the song bird.

What's the general reception for Infinite?
