Surprised by Carp Catch in Evanston

I did some Minnow trapping in Evanston Pond and caught a decently sized Prussian Carp.

Nose Creek has the occasional Prussian Carp but,

theirs no overland connection between Nose Creek and Evanston Pond. No fishing is allowed in storm water ponds like that anyway so why would someone move them in there?

Wondering if there's an underground water connection or if birds have transported eggs or fish prey.

Also caught two invasive crayfish that were not even Northern crayfish but Virile Crayfish.

Edit: Killed all 3 invasive things btw

Killing Certain Species of Fish

Hi I’m a fisherman who comes from Calgary every summer to Fish Okanagan.

Pikeminnow/Squarish are a fish I’ve caught the most of in my life, and all from this lake or neighbouring Wood Lake. I released them all.

However after seeing some concerning things like Pike minnow eating up Kokanee, Salmon, Trout eggs and Juvenile’s I’ve been wondering if I should just kill all of them I catch.

Both Canada the U.S. encourage people to kill Pike minnow and have programs to kill Pike minnow in certain regions to protect other fish populations.
Some people are paid rewards for a certain number of kills.

I’ve heard Pike-minnow populations have increased significantly because of the introduction of Mil-weed which is a good habitat for them.

There is no limit on Pike-minnow anywhere from what I know. But I’ve heard it’s illegal to kill native fish that you will not eat or use for bait.

Salmon populations are under enough stress,

so should I just be killing all Pike-minnow I catch?

Edit: I have decided not to and have not killed Pike-minnow except one I ate

One of the Best Updates/DLCS

An appreciation post.
Across all video games including Hoi4 you see a lot of complaining, criticism a lot of which is valid.

However as an Australian main, Paradox did a 10/10 job with the Australian Focus tree:

So much content based on Historical and close what ifs that are based on reality.
The democratic path alone has multiple different choices you can go down. Hard line Commenwealth, Hardline American, 2 sets of independence, Mix of multiple routes at once, which historically all sort of happened in a way.
The way it’s set up using the election system means it’s not entirely mutually exclusive and you can customize your campaign on parts of all 3 doctrines.

A lot of effort put into Australia.

Excited to see what they do with the U.S. and Canada, etc. in the following updates if they keep this type of quality up.
