Nikki’s obscured face

I haven’t seen people talk about this too much apart from the scene with the flowers but throughout the movie Nikki’s face is obscured pretty often.

- Right after the initial wish happened when she walks over to bears side of the car

- When she knocks on the front door of Bear’s house (it was excessively dark/in the shadow especially compared to bear)

- Obviously the scene with the flowers

I know there are more instances of it throughout the film but cant remember them all since I’ve only seen it once.

Do you guys think there’s any symbolism or reason behind this choice?

Baton - Model/Actriz synrh sound/patch

The sound starts at 00:30 and it just doesnt strike me as something i recognise. You can sometimes hear guitar faintly layered over the sound in the background playing the same notes which leads me to believe it might be a pedalboard, or something sample like. Sadly haven’t found any live footage of the song to confirm.

Im looking for a synth patch that sounds similar or if someone knows how the sound is actually made.

Need help for identifying distortion/fuzz

Hello, so i am used to making my own guitar tones with the pedals i have and like to be creative with it. This tone is something i’ve heard quite a few times and really want to use in my own songs. You can hear it in the guitar that becomes distorted (left ear) in this song at 3:33. Wednesday tends to also have a tone like this with the distorted pedalsteel in ‘Reality TV Argument Bleeds’. It just has this really fizzy and soaring quality to it.

My question is does anyone recognise what type of distortion/fuzz this is? My best guess is an op amp big muff (seeing it on the pedalboard of the guitarist from squid), but i’ve never used this pedal.
