For people who used 7 Corners Cycle shop, where did you move onto for your cycle needs?
I Used to live in SE. I loved taking my bike to Corey. Rarely do you find someone that is so knowledgeable and trustworthy. I once had him restore a bike. I told him he had a "blank check". It was obvious from our conversation that if I had 5k to spend on a bike I would have, so when I told him blank check I was thinking 5-6 hundred. I told him to treat like he was fixing up his own bike.
Weeks later he called, he was embarrassed because he thought he had run up an astronomical bill and I would be upset. It was $235!!! My bike was perfect.
I moved to St. John's 5 years ago. Had a kid and barely recall seeing a story about the shop closing. I have been riding a Rad Wagon for 3 years with my kiddo. Now that they are in a preschool close to our house I sold it.
I have an 80's Nishiki that I want to tune up and just don't have time to work on it myself. Any recommendations? I am hoping to revamp the drive train, possibly throw disc brakes on, Idk.
I would love to find another local shop that has the same family vibes for my son to have a life long connection!
Doesn't have to be North Portland but would be nice.
