I’ve got a fairly large split in the cork sole of my Birkenstocks, which I plan on repairing with Barge cement.
I’m wondering what sort of prep needs to be done before gluing. Would a good water rinse and some dry time be enough? Would isopropyl alcohol be better? My worry is that a strong solvent could make things worse.
I’m confident in my ability to glue them, of course, I’m open to tips in this regard. I’m mostly just looking for some opinions on how best to prep the material.
Thanks!
I should have fucked your asshole.
