Hi, I've got this Электроника 6.15 Soviet alarm clock, and I've got a dillema.

These itron displays wear out with use, and they turn dimmer. This display doesn't seem to be that worn, but my room is very bright.

At noon the displayed time is barely visible and I have to come right up to the clock to see the time.

In this video (lovely creator btw ❤️), you can see that the plexiglass can get dirty from the inside (not sure how).

So I thought I could clean mine, but the clock is still sealed from the factory, and it seems like a bad idea to break the seal just to find out the plexiglass is clean.

Also, i can't figure out what are the two oval holes with symbols on the bottom.

What are your thoughts?

2 band, 7 transistor radio made in the USSR.

My dad got this from his grandfather, thus this is from my great-grandfather.

Doesn't work, so I took it to a technician and he told me that there's so many broken parts that are outdated and he didn't know where to find them.

What should i do with it?
