Okay I found sth new:

1. Select ONLY your most desirable item in your cart.
2. Select your 2nd favourable item (but add it x10 times or less if total value is below <25 Euro = minimum order amount).
3. Go to checkout - here a middle page** between cart and checkout page will open up and ask if you wanna add other items without import fee FROM YOUR CART for checkout (screenshot 1) - this is where you can select everything which has the same HS code / tarrif class as item 1 or 2, as long as it's part of your cart.
4. Add your desired items BUT don't forget to decrease the quantity of item no. 2 to only 1 pc (you don't want to order 10pcs of the same item lol, this is just a workaround to get to that page if u are still below MOV).
5. In the final step (screenshot 2) you can see that I only pay 5 EUR "Einfuhrabgaben" = import fee, but ofc you could also just select one item and add it 10x times to see if other items will be shown for this section - imo it will show less, maybe just 1-2 articles if your cart is really full. Depends on how much you're willing to pay for customs duty per order.

So in this way, you can organize your cart and select only the "right items" which won't affect additional costs & save some money (good choice if you just wanna buy one or two certain items but could afford some additional stuff at this time).

Just make sure to collect all your fav items directly in your cart, not on your wishlist.

idk if y'all know this already but ordering "Bundle deals" (only items from 1 category e.g. accessories/necklaces) will reduce your EU import fee to 0 € which is very nice 👍 also free shipping.

when selecting choice items I still have to pay a high unreasonable fee but in this area (it's called "Kombi-Knaller" in Germany) it works perfectly and I can save real money. I also ordered from other categories e.g. nail stickers because you only need to select min. 3x items in order to get that free shipping & no additional charges.

Manche Menschen möchten halt auch gar nicht verhandeln ... 😅 habe dann auch nicht mehr geantwortet. Bin ja noch entgegengekommen von 9,50€ => auf 8,00 €, ist dann halt schon frech es nochmal zu versuchen für "nur 10 Cent mehr" oder wie seht ihr das? Hättet ihr dann nochmal ein Angebot geschickt für 7 Euro oder so? Ich war da raus.

Ich reduziere meine Preise auch von Zeit zu Zeit, also ich gehe z.B. von 10 Euro > 9 > 8 etc. runter und habe diese Preissenkungen dann auch im Hinterkopf. Aber irgendwann so bei 5 Euro lösche ich den Artikel einfach & stelle es nochmal neu ein (zu einem höheren Preis), weil ich denke, das lohnt sich ja kaum noch ... 😂 Macht ihr das auch so?

Last time I already noticed a new section in cart which shows u similar items without additional tax fee. Now they're giving 30% discount on that fee up to max. 20€ (screenshot). But only valid for 2 days lol.

I think it's nice to see that they think about new strategies or - as usual at TEMU - about temporary discount events. Let's see if they'll implement even more & better ideas how to minimize that fee for us.

Really sucks that they can't make it simply 3€ per order, that seems not possible - probably because EU made this stupid new law, not TEMU.

I just discovered this new section in my cart (it suddenly appeared below random item I selected and leads to a page which shows u similar items with same HS tarrif codes in order to avoid high taxes.) Nice one Temu 👍🏼

EDIT: You can see more screenshots in my comment below. The section also pop ups when you're below < 25,00 € min order value (in the middle step right before going to checkout), so it really adds only 1x fee per category if you select items from the shown page.

I think other researchers are more generous with their max. allowed completion time. I did this study today and yes it was possible to finish it within 15 minutes but there were maaaany multiple-choice questions and pages and so I felt in a rush because I thought omg I only have 15 mins ... seemed a bit tightly timed for us participants. What do you think? not sure if Prolific has a rule about this
