No more autoship in AK and HI 🥳

My GM let me know that effective yesterday, we no longer need to bother customers at checkout with the autoship BS because corporate finally realized that it’s not actually a good deal for anyone, I guess too many people complained about the surcharge.

I think I’m getting too old for this

I’m 40 and I’m a kindergarten teacher during the school year, this summer I’ve been working part-time at Petco.
I really enjoy working there, restocking, planograms, resets, I don’t mind it at all. I clock in on time, do my work, clock out. But holy shit, some of my coworkers are worse than my kindergarteners.
Just putting stuff in random places, instead of asking where things go they just put it in backstock, no common sense, no work ethic.
The cherry on top was when one of the leads today asked me to redo a 5-high of backstock another coworker had just “worked” because “XYZ worked it and he probably missed a bunch of stuff”!?
Why not have the guy redo it correctly? Why do I have to clean up after another “adult”?
My GM and the other leads are my age and they’re really the only reason why I haven’t ran outta there screaming yet.

US - dual citizen, travel to GER due to death in family

I just recently became a US citizen and before I had the chance to apply for my US passport my mom suddenly passed away back in Germany.
Since I was not within the two-week window yet I went to my local post office (I’m in Alaska) and applied expedited with expedited shipping, that was on the 21st.
I haven’t booked a flight yet and I’m hesitant to, but it seems like I need to in order to have proof of that two-week timeframe. Once I book a flight for two weeks out, should my next step be calling the NPIC even in case my application doesn’t have a locator number yet? Or should I contact my senator?
Another option would be leaving the US on a one-way ticket with my German passport, having my husband fedex the US passport to Germany whenever it gets delivered and then booking the return ticket back home with my US passport.

Food suggestions for 14yr old dog with liver issues

My dog is a lab/beagle mix, weighs about 40lbs which is probably 3-5lbs too heavy for his frame according to the vet.
He had a blood test done and they were concerned about his liver. Vet tool him off rimadyl and he is ob galiprant and gabapentin now, hoping that brings his numbers down.
But I’d like to switch him from Blue Buffalo to a healthier alternative for seniors with low copper content. Price doesn’t really matter. I do live in Alaska where local options are limited and shipping takes a while.
