Last Azlanti - Clarification would have been nice.

Was just doing my Last Azlanti run on Hard and it was going pretty well (Even moved down Vescavore Queen without any issues)

But apparently when a companion dies during their quest level it's the same as if your KC dies resulting in an instant game over...

Was doing Ulbrigs quest and Ubring was caught between the Kalavakus and the succubi.

I was like ok no big deal i just rez him after (Remaining Kalavakus was 1 round from death and suddenly a pop up that GG run is over)

Had i known that would happened i would have instantly dropped Scale or raise dead scroll on him...

TLDR - Today i learned that companions dying in their Quest is the same as KC death = insta game over...

Never played Aeon. Need advice

Found this portrait by Renan Souza on Artstation and it just Screams KC that just picked the stone knife that gave him the eyes of the Aeon.

Wanted to try and go for the True Aeon ending run but never played Aeon...

The only thing i know is that they have a bane that can stack with inquisitor

Gazes (IDK what their effects do)

That it can be a good summoner (but i want to play lawful neutral and best summons can only be summoned on evil alignment)

I should also add that i would like to play on hard/unfair (latter preferably)

I have on my mind these options:

Divination Wizard, Shadowcaster - Nethys as Diety

Sanctified Slayer, Living Grimoire - Pharasma as Diety

Would welcome tips and tricks or even other options if you have them.

One hit to annihilate everything

How good would a Legend - 20 Sable/ 20 Gendarme be in combination with

Mounted Charge feats + Long spears

Entire Cleave and Vital Strike line

Mythic Vital strike and Mythic Power attack

Size increas + lunge

- Basically put everything into one hit that guarantees a crit if its a Demon + 5x? Times the damage from charge (Maybe even sneak attack if we add Inciter to the party) and have a way to always guarantee a hit?

Hard/Unfair specifically.
