Delivery Dilemma
Tell me why..
I ordered $200 worth HOKA Bondi SR work shoes (including $20 for 3-day shipment) and it’s been over two weeks and I still haven’t received the item yet.
When I purchased the item on HOKA‘s website, unbeknownst to me, HOKA auto filled the address from my Apple Pay, and it turns out that address is outdated. My shoes were shipped to the wrong address.
I filed a support ticket with fed ex the same day it was delivered and after a week of dragging it out, they finally told me they couldn’t retrieve the item. Reason being they delivered it to the exact address that HOKA gave them, even though its not my address. I find that messed up.
I contacted Hoka and they pointed at fed ex, telling me to file a claim with fed ex or they can’t do anything for me. Yet fed ex just refused to retrieve the item. Fed ex is also telling me that Hoka has to file a lost claim with them. They’re pointing fingers at each other and not helping me at all.
I managed to file a lost claim with fed ex but I fear they’ll deny it like they did with the support ticket, and that could also take weeks to complete.
for all I know, someone just got free $200 worth shoes (shoes that I bought for my foot pain) that I spent hard earned money on. While everyone is leaving me hanging. I tried to dispute with Cash App, yet they’re telling me it could be up to a month‘s wait and I potentially could not get my money back.
If I reach out to the police I fear the situation will drag out even more and I still won’t be helped, because they’ll just tell me to reach out to the two companies, which is proving pointless. Plus there’s not enough evidence on who took it to knock on their door, even though I suspect the resident that currently lives at that address took it because their address is on it.
It’s been nearly two weeks now and nothing, HOKA isn’t doing anything and even flat out refused to give me a one-time courtesy refund. Fed ex isn’t helping either. I fear they’ll drag this out until the time window for help expires. This just proves that these companies only care about money.
I can’t help but lay awake at night, anxious that my $200 was gone to waste, and dreading having to go to work with my rusty shoes and suffer terrible foot pain. That was nearly half my paycheck, I make a mere $500 every two weeks, I was really looking forward to limiting my foot pain with those shoes. What do I do? Please help me spread awareness.
