My review of the Viridian RFX1 custom optic for the Bodyguard 2.0 (trash)

After having the Viridian RFX1 green dot for over a month, I sent it back! Trash.

First one arrived DOA - it worked for five mins, then it was dead.

Customer service told me they had a big batch with bad light sensors, and they would send me a new one with an updated sensor.

A new one came in, it seemed to work well and was accurate.

After a while, I realized it was terrible in low light. Most of the time it wouldn't even turn on or it would take 10-15 secs to turn on. And when it was on, the dot was so dim I could barely see it and had to hunt around for a while before I could even find it. I'm talking DIM! Almost seemed like it was not even on it was so dim.

Not optimal if you need it right away in anything other than bright light.

Customer service rep (Kent M) was zero help and  admitted they had a big batch with bad light sensors - so why mail them out????? At that point, it's been over a month since the first one and the original rep I was working with for the DOA sight told me about the bad sensors. So why the hell are they still sending out defective optics?!!

Maybe hoping the customer wouldn't notice or wouldn't care? I asked if they could send me a good one and I would return the defective one when it arrived - nope. I had to send it in first, they would look at it, then send me a replacement. So I would be without it for 2-4 weeks 🤦‍♂️

Either way, terrible product, terrible customer service, and they lost a customer because they couldn't do the right thing.

I ended up getting a refund and ordering the Gideon Pebble Reflex sight - it gets much better reviews. I learned my lesson with Viridian! 🤦‍♂️ Just wanted to share my experience!

Some agatized Coral I found in FL

Cut a bunch last night. Lots of cool stuff, but this was one of my favorites! Still pictures do it. No justice, this thing sparkles in the Sun.

I need to get my stone crab traps out of the water because the season closes on Sat! Might as well do some fishing too.

Leaving around 8:30ish am from Clearwater area. Back whenever we feel like coming in. Don't get seasick or you will lay on the deck pondering your life choices til I'm done fishing 😂

If conditions allow we can head offshore a bit. If not, we can do some inshore or nearshore. Can also try some trolling for Kings, they've been showing up a bit.

It's a full moon day, and sometimes full moon days suck, fair warning. 😂

Split gas and bait 50/50.

Who's coming with me?? 🤙

Just put the viridian on it and damn, it turned this awesome gun into an even more awesome gun. Didn't make it any harder to conceal, I don't even notice it. I did have to take the Dremel to my kydex holster but it's perfect now.

Never leave home without it!

That target is a full 12+1 at 7 yards. Works for me!
