S2E2 Brennan shut down on small talk

I’m watching S2E2 (Mother and Child in the Bay) and I noticed two times Brennan got completely shut down trying to make small talk. People always talk about how she doesn’t connect with other people, but in short succession first Booth and then Cam shut her down by asking non-work related questions. With Booth it’s after he talked to Parker about visiting the zoo. The second was asking Cam if she had any kids. Both of them asked what that had to do with the case and Cam said Brennan just wasted her time.

Pleasant surprise for AA

My wife and I got back from a trip on Monday. We were supposed to fly home on Sunday, but some DFW craziness got our first flight cancelled. We had upgraded the whole trip to FC because they offered a cheap upgrade price. Anyway, I was able to rebook FC for the first leg, but not the second. Today I was notified that AA had refunded a portion of the upgrade fee. I had been planning on reaching out today to see what they could do for me, so like I said: pleasant surprise.
