My own experience after signing up
I posted in here just after signing up for Toob for reviews. They were mainly positive so I felt like I was in good hands. This is my own review as unfortunately things didn’t go well for me.
I called up two days before my installation as I decided to stay with Sky. Better the devil you know as the broadband was stable and never let me down. I was told by the advisor that it’s been passed to cancellations and I’d get a call in 24 hours to confirm. The call never came. I called back the next day after receiving no call and was told the same thing.
At this point I was told by Sky that the point of no return had been crossed and my broadband would cancel with them the following day. The engineer came and I was left with no choice but to get Toob broadband installed due to work and having no internet would have been a big problem! No problems with the engineer and the work done.
This was installed on a Friday and the internet over the weekend was shoddy at best. Speeds were good but buffering on YouTube and streaming services which are all connected via Ethernet so the WiFi wasn’t the issue.
I called up and put in a complaint about my whole situation and a lady called Alex took my complaint. She called me on the Monday and just told me the whole process I went through was wrong and it should have been a two minute conversation about cancelling my direct debits etc. I won’t go in to all the details we spoke about but she basically waived all my fees for the time I was connected.
My overall experience with the Internet was poor and the customer service leading up to my installation was awful at best after finding out they handled my issue wrong. Alex left me with a better outlook on the company though. If their Internet was better I’d have had no problem staying!
I did manage to get back over to Sky gigafast for £25 a month which I won’t complain about and my connection had been stable again ever since.
