Medicaid - Work Requirements Questions

I have been trying to navigate these new work requirements for my Medicaid as someone also going through the disability process.

I FINALLY spoke with someone at DHHS today that said I will need a note from my doctor saying my disability keeps me from working. I read a few articles online that stated a letter from a doctor is not enough to prove disability to receive any federal benefits.

I realize most of the articles are talking about receiving disability payments, but it makes sense that a simple letter would not meet the federal threshold of proof. It seems flimsy that that's all DHHS would require and the last thing I want is to follow their instructions and get screwed out of my Medicaid (DHHS has given incorrect information on multiple occasions.)

Is anyone else having difficulty navigating this whole song and dance? Even if I do have to volunteer, I can't find where to enter my hours online. And if I make the minimum $580, how am I showing that?

Feel free to vent in the comments if you're having as much fun as I am.

Is it normal for a contractor to...

Contractor came out a few weeks ago to add a lock to the door. They did a subpar job, and the screws start to come out of different parts of the lock.

They came back today at noon (said it would be morning) to put more wood putty in. To do this, they took the whole door off. The guy tells me it's going to have to cure overnight.

Is it normal for a door to be off the hinges overnight?

If not, suggestions?

Additional context: this is not my house. The contractor is not a locksmith specifically (I told the owner to get a locksmith but they thought this would be fine.) it's a safe neighborhood and the German Shepherd is specifically trained for defense. The screen door locks.
