1970s Staiger Trento

This is my early 1970s Staiger Trento, a road bike frame, made in west Germany. I cold-set the rear chainstays to fit a 26" MTB rim paired with an 80s Shimano road free hub. Bored out the bottom bracket to press fit a BB30, added amazon crank arms and an oval chainring. Microshift bar end shifter, crappy SRAM derailer from 2000s Huffy (also where I got the rims and bars). Random fork I found on amazon with cool paint.

Ridden on New England single track mostly. Great at climbing, sketchy through rock gardens. Ton of fun.

Increasing ID on Steel Pipe / Bicycle Bottom Bracket

I am looking to expand the ID of the bottom bracket of a steel bicycle frame from 40.6mm to 41mm so I can press a bearing cup in, as 41mm is a pretty standard size. The bicycle frame is from the early 70s.

I have exhaust spreaders for increasing ID of exhaust pipe, but that is much thinner material. I was also considering finding a 3 leg hone tool and going that way. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated!

Located in central Massachusetts if there are any kind machinists who want lunch :)
