Just curious if the signatures are legit as I purchased this one from a vendor at a Horror Convention a couple of years ago.
So I went to harbor freight for some tools and had gotten about $400 of things. When I had went to check out, the total was 404 so I wanted to put 400 on my credit card and 4 on my debit. So I told him that and he processed to put the full amount on my credit and when I told him, he just ignored me, so I thought " oh he probably did already and the screen is just saying the full total. Swiped, declined, told him again, same thing, declined, then he did something on the screen and the card reader finally said 4 bucks. He then processed to tell the next customer he'll ring him up on the next register and when I swiped my debit it approved. I have memory issues so I thought that the seconded time I swiped, I was wrong and it actually went through. He put the receipt in my bag and told me to have a nice day. I get home and see that he put I paid 400 in cash and 4 on card. Now I dont know what to do cause I feel bad that this guy is totally gonna get in trouble. Should I go back and pay for my items or just live with the fact that it was his mistake for trying to rush?
Edit: I will be going back for sure just to out my mind at ease about hopefully helping the cashier out. If you haven't read the other comments I made, I grew up in a very poor household and area so I witnessed many things so what right or wrong can be mixed. If I had made the mistake, which i have although maybe not 400$, I would understand why someone wouldn't return to fix the mistake I made. Who knows if that person might need the break. But im in a good position right now where I don't need the break so thats why I come looking for advice. I honestly am not trying to defend me keep the items for basically free I am just trying to explain myself. BIG thanks to everyone who isnt being critical of the situation as this is a sub that quite literally is for questions that maybe dumb for others but isnt for others.
