Quick question for the European collectors here. It’s normal in TCGs that local languages are cheaper than English, but with Naruto the gap is crazy.

Japanese cards have crazy sales volume on Mercari even though vintage EU prints share the exact same original Japanese layout, while English cards fetch insane money.

Meanwhile in Europe, clean vintage cards sit at literally 10% of that value.
I can only speak from the German side, but honestly, people look at you like you just insulted their family if you even try to list a vintage German card. You’ll have a card that goes for €400+ in English sitting there in German for €40 in near-mint condition, and nobody cares.

Even original Serie 1 boosters end at €25 on eBay with zero bids.

I get liquidity is worse and the English market is bigger, but the total disrespect for 20-year-old vintage cards just because of the language is wild to me.

Do you guys completely avoid EU prints, or does anyone actually pick them up?

Looking to buy either of these two cards in NM or Mint condition. Paying strong prices.

I'm looking to start building a Vintage One Piece collection.

I’ve noticed a few influencers talking about the older cards lately, which actually reminded me of them and made me want to finally dive in

Since I’m just looking to collect and enjoy the cards, I wanted to ask the community what the landscape looks like for someone just starting out right now:

- Entry point: Is it still a relatively accessible time to start collecting, or have the older cards already gotten super expensive to get into?

- Recent hype: Have you noticed a big price spike in the last few weeks because of the new attention online, or is the market still pretty relaxed?

- EU Market: I'm based in Europe, so I’d really love to hear from other EU collectors. How hard is it to find good cards over here, and how do the prices and availability compare right now?

I'd really appreciate any tips or insights you guys have for a new vintage collector. Thanks in advance!

Hey guys, quick question about the early sets.
In Europe and Japan, the first set was simply called "Series 1". But in the US, the first set is "Path to Hokage".
Are they exactly the same set? And did the US ever get a set officially named just "Series 1"?

Ich weiß, viele hassen diese Karte momentan, aber nur zur Info: Wenn ihr die Naruto PR-095 Foil-Version (Europa-Version = UK, GER, ITA, FR) bei PSA einreichen wollt, könnt ihr das tun.

Nicht-Foil-Versionen werden nicht akzeptiert.

EDIT: Nur um das ursprüngliche Problem zu klären: Es stimmt, dass die US-Nicht-Foil-Version sowohl im Spiel als auch in den Walmart-Packs verteilt wurde. Die europäische Foil-Version war jedoch exklusiv im eigentlichen Spiel erhältlich. PSA sollte sich das wirklich mal ansehen und zwischen den beiden Varianten unterscheiden.

EDIT 2: Die europäische Version hat auch den "UNS_Card"-Stempel, während die US-Version das nicht hat. Außerdem ist das Wort "Training" auf der europäischen englischen Foil-Version falsch geschrieben.

Aber: BGS, CGC und TAG bewerten es.
