Purpose over Pussy

D) Realize you've accidentally signed up for a hostile corporate takeover of your bank account after a mere 60-day free trial, call your ancestral spirits to block the transaction, and tell her sister to start practicing her handwriting for scholarship essays.

You're a boyfriend, not the International Monetary Fund.

NHIF vs SHA: My Experience vs the Narrative

I keep hearing people say “NHIF didn’t work, SHA doesn’t work”, but my personal experience has been very different.

During the NHIF era, I was self-sponsored, paying Ksh. 500 per month.

-It covered my maternity bill of over Ksh. 100,000.

-Under SHA, I’ve still benefited: it recently paid a Ksh. 120,000 medical bill.

-Last year, I even got Ksh. 17,000 worth of eye glasses covered.

So when I hear blanket statements that these schemes don’t work, I wonder: am I just lucky, or is this manufactured hunger against the government? And No, I didn't call anyone to push for the coverage!

Have others here had similar positive experiences, or do you feel the system failed you?

Is the problem the scheme itself, or the way information and expectations are managed?

I’d love to hear real stories, good or bad, so we can separate perception from reality.

Tribalism in Kenyan Politics: Are We Stuck in the Past? 🇰🇪Good evening,

Good evening,

Every election cycle, tribalism seems to rear its head again; shaping alliances, fueling divisions, and often overshadowing real policy debates. It feels like we keep recycling the same narrative: leaders rallying support along ethnic lines instead of focusing on governance, accountability, and national unity.

Do you think tribalism is still the biggest obstacle to Kenya’s political maturity?

Has devolution helped reduce ethnic tensions by giving counties more autonomy, or has it simply entrenched local tribal politics?

What practical steps could break this cycle, stronger civic education, reforms in political parties, or grassroots movements that prioritize issues over identity?I’d love to hear your perspectives. Is tribalism an unavoidable reality of Kenyan politics, or can we finally move toward a more issue-based democracy?

PS5 Wanted (Lipa Pole Pole)

Looking to buy a PS5 console via installment payment plans (Lipa Pole Pole). As a non-drinker and non-partier, gaming is my primary hobby, and I'm ready to get back into it after a two-year break since selling my PS4.

Please refer me to genuine electronics merchants. Phone Place Kenya, No!
