Vet keeping appointment deposit??
Called to make appointment with vet. They told me they take a $15 deposit that is applied to first vet bill. I agreed to the charge. I then called back to cancel (days in advance) and they told me that the deposit was non-refundable. I understand taking a deposit so that people don't just not show up for appointments. I don't understand keeping the deposit for a vet visit that is cancelled almost a week in advance. No services were performed and the cancellation was well in advance. What did they give up to justify keeping my deposit?
