Please develop a combination of these two products!

We all know that airbags are great for shock absorption.

Someone please develop a combination of a traditional motorcycle helmet with the "Hovding" bicycle head airbag!

I imagine the airbag inflating outside the helmet shell, as an extra shock absorber.

(Hovding sold quite well, especially in Scandinavia, but went bankrupt following a product recall caused by some technical problems.)

Great experience with Octopus

My boiler broke down in March. I decided to get two quotes for heat pump installation, of which Octopus turned out to be significantly cheaper than my local installer. Their proposed installation was also simpler, meaning less disruption. The Octopus quote was around £11,000 all-in, of which the Boiler Upgrade grant will cover £7,500. My net cost is around £3,500.

Octopus recommeded a "Cosy 9" heat pump, approximately ten meters of new piping, a new electrical connection, and one new radiator.

I gave the go-ahead at the end of March, and the installation has now been completed. Overall it has been a great experience, and I feel that I got excellent value for money.

The Octopus crew was here for four days, and got everything done to a very nice standard. I'm generally nervous about "standard" or fixed-price installations, but the Octopus crew were careful to do a very nice job, and listed to my requests. Overall, I'd rate the workmanship as very good.

I was also impressed that Octopus took full accountability for their quote. They had originally planned to re-use my hot water cylinder, but it turned out that it wasn't suitable after all. Octopus immediately supplied and installed a whole new cylinder, at no extra cost to me; no excuses.

I have also signed up to Octopus' service plan. For £9 per month (£108 per year) I get an annual service, which unlocks eight years of warranty from Octopus. They're also remotely monitoring the performance of the heat pump, which gives me a lot of confidence that the system will perform well for many years.

All in all, a great experience getting the Octopus system installed.
