Genuine request for advice or assistance with university tuition due to severe family hardship

Hi everyone,

I’m posting this because my family has hit a wall financially, and I’m completely out of options for my university tuition.

My dad has a serious heart condition and can't work right now, leaving my mom as the sole provider. Between our regular household bills and his medical costs, we just don't have anything left to cover my uni fees. If I can't find a way to pay, I'm going to have to drop out.

We’ve already reached out to a few charities, but unfortunately, nothing has worked out so far. I really don't know where else to turn. If anyone knows of any other local UAE organizations, student relief funds, or grants that help students dealing with unexpected family medical hardships, please point me in the right direction.

I wouldn't be asking if we weren't in a completely desperate spot. Any advice, leads, or guidance would mean everything to me right now. Thank you so much

How do I prepare for ISC2 CC?

I have done the isc2 provided materials and also mike's course on linkedin. I have done his 4 practice questions and scored an average of 80-85

Is there any other sources I could use to study? or am i ready for the exam?

Failed CC 2nd attempt today. Testing center was a nightmare. Any chance ISC2 gives me another voucher?

Hey everyone, just venting and looking for some realistic advice. I took my ISC2 CC exam today, and the entire experience was an absolute disaster.

First, the testing center conditions were horrible. The AC was completely broken, and there was a massive administrative backlog to get checked in. The room was overcrowded and sweltering. I was the only person taking the CC exam today; everyone else was testing for other certifications, but we were all stuck in the same miserable, overheated room.

Second, the exam itself felt completely different from the study materials. I used the official ISC2 learning and Mike Chapple, but a lot of the questions felt like they didn't come from those sources at all. It was way more difficult and heavily scenario-based rather than straightforward definitions.

I ended up failing. My score report showed "Near Proficiency" in 4 out of 5 domains, and my only "Below Proficiency" was in Incident Response, BC, & DR (Domain 5). I feel like I was only a few questions away from passing.

Here is where my situation gets complicated: This was my 2nd attempt. After my first attempt, ISC2 support actually gave me a free retake as a courtesy. Today, I emailed them immediately after leaving the center to formally complain about the broken AC and the check-in delay, asking for another free voucher because the environment was totally compromised. However, because the front desk was so chaotic, I didn't get an official Pearson VUE incident number from the proctor before I left.

Also, since this was my 2nd attempt, I know the system triggers a mandatory 60-day lockout before a 3rd attempt.

My questions for you all:

  1. Has anyone successfully gotten an appeal/free voucher for testing center environmental issues without an incident number, especially if they already had a free retake in the past?
  2. Even if support agrees the center was at fault, is there any way they can bypass that strict 60-day lockout, or am I absolutely stuck waiting until late July?
  3. How do you guys recommend studying for those weird, out-of-left-field scenario questions since the official material doesn't seem to cover them well?

Anyone here trading with prop firms? Looking for payout experiences.

Is anyone here currently trading with prop firms? If you've successfully received a payout, how much was it, and what size account were you trading on? and how often do you receive payouts?
