Are you guys planning to migrate your apps to Polaris 2.0?

Shopify's new admin design started rolling out recently, and Polaris 2.0 is now available as a release candidate for embedded apps.

I'm curious what other Shopify developers think about this. If you've already built a fairly large app using the existing Polaris components, are you planning to update everything to match the new design?

From what I've read in Shopify's docs, apps using Polaris Web Components can adopt the new styling by updating the version, but apps still using the old React components and custom UI will need more work to make everything consistent.

I'm building Loger, and with all the custom components and screens involved, this could be a pretty significant undertaking.

Are you planning to migrate now, wait until it's stable, or stick with the current UI for the time being?

Also curious if anyone has started the migration already. How much work has it actually been?

Anyone find a way to combat cloud flare endless loading loop in Grok bot?

I'm currently using Grokbot, and I'm having a problem where I need to sign into some pages. It gives me access to their cloud computer, and whenever I actually join it and click around, I usually get a "verifying with Cloudflare page". On that page, I can't actually click the "Verify human" because it disappears in a blink of a second, so it just ends up loading forever, like an endless loop.

I am currently trying to make the bot computer browser actually look like a human as he used it too. I have added agent cookies so that my Mac data transfers to the Grok bot browser data, and that seems to work because Cloudflare usually blocks the data center location whenever it sees the Grok bot computer. Has anyone else found a way to actually fix this problem?

How did you get your first 100 PU?

Hi! My name is Liam, and I just built my own Shopify app. I’ve been working on it for about 8 months, and it’s finally finished.

I’m a student, so I don’t have a huge budget for promotion, ads, etc. I’m struggling a bit with getting merchants to even install it.

For example, whenever I post on Reddit, Discord, or other forums, most people either ignore it or my post/comment gets removed for “promoting.” I launched the app 5 days ago and currently have 0 installs. The group I’m targeting is also pretty specific, which makes things a bit harder.

So I’m kind of stuck right now and would really apreciate some advice. How do you guys usually get your first merchants to actually install and try your app, especially without spending a lot on ads?

Just looking for some tips from people who have been through this before.

Looking for 5 Shopify stores with messy product workflows

I've spent this year building Loger, a tool that turns supplier files into Shopify-ready products.

I'm specifically looking for stores that receive product data from suppliers through CSVs, Excel files, Dropbox, folders, etc.

I don't want generic feedback like “looks good.” I want to watch it go through your actual workflow and find where it breaks.

I'll give the testers free access forever and personally help with the setup.

If you manage a Shopify store with a large catalog or complicated supplier workflow, comment or DM me IT WOULD HELP A TON!

I built Clarafy – Hold one key and your messy typing instantly becomes better

Hey everyone,

I've been working on something for the past few weeks and finally decided to share it.

It's called Clarafy.

The idea is simple: You type normally (with all the typos and bad flow), then click once and it instantly polishes your text, better grammar, clearer flow, and proper tone, all right where you typed it.

No copy-pasting into ChatGPT, no breaking your flow.

It also has voice dictation (hold the key and just speak), and over time it learns how you usually write so it sounds more like you.

I built it because I was tired of typing something quick and it not sounding right. Now it feels way easier.

Currently works as a Chrome extension. Desktop version coming soon.

Would love honest feedback from you guys.

Try it here: https://chromewebstore.google.com/detail/clarafy/eddnjcdnhicnmeabeijjbobnchnmiild?authuser=0&hl=en

Looking forward to hearing what you think.
