How do you study for the PE exam while at work?

Do you review cheat sheets, solve practice problems, or watch lectures from your subscribed course? I know it depends heavily on your office, manager, and relationship with them, but what has actually worked for you?

Looking for practical ideas to make the most of small pockets of time during the workday.

PE Transportation Reference Chapters

Does anyone have a set of the PE Transportation exam reference materials organized/broken down by chapters, similar to how they appear in the actual CBT exam? Thanks!

PE Transpo Study Partner

Hi everyone,

33 M. I’m preparing for my second attempt at the PE Transportation exam and looking for a study partner, preferably in the EST time zone.

I’ve completed all of the EET lectures and am now working through practice problems. I’m hoping to find someone to:

  • Bounce ideas off of
  • Discuss solutions and references
  • Track progress
  • Hold each other accountable

Someone committed to staying consistent and helping each other stay on track.

If you’re interested, feel free to comment or send me a message. Good luck to everyone studying!

New manager seems supportive, but past job experience is making me overthink recurring 1:1s

Started a new job 3 weeks ago after a rough experience and ongoing conflict with my previous manager. So far this new team has treated me really well, and my manager has been showing confidence in me and delegating meaningful work right away, which has honestly been refreshing.

Yesterday they set up a recurring 1:1 “to support onboarding,” but my mind immediately started spiraling because of my past experience. Part of me feels confident, but part of me still has my guard up.

How do you prepare for recurring 1:1s early in a new role, and what kind of follow-up or mindset has helped you build trust without overthinking everything?

Second attempt at the PE Transportation exam—looking for a study partner for the next couple months. Following EET. Planning to study daily around 9 PM EST for 1–1.5 hours (problems + references + accountability). Prefer someone on a similar track and routine. Reach out if interested. Thanks!
