My in-laws showed up at our door without warning. I asked them to leave. My husband said "be nice."

I (31F) have been married 4 years. My in-laws live 5 hours away. They showed up last Saturday. No call. No text. I was in pajamas. The house was a mess. I told them it wasn't a good time. My husband said "they came all this way, just let them stay." I feel like my home isn't mine.

Am I wrong for saying no, or is my husband wrong for ignoring my boundaries?

AITA for telling my sister she can't bring her dog to my baby shower?

My sister has a dog. A small one. It's cute but it's not well behaved. It barks at everything, jumps on furniture, and once it peed on my rug.

I'm having a baby shower at my house next weekend. It's going to be at my place, indoors, with like 20 people. I'm already stressed about hosting. I sent out invitations and clearly said "no pets please."

My sister called me yesterday and said "I'm bringing the dog. He can't be left alone that long."

I said "I specifically said no pets on the invitation. Please don't bring him."

She said "he's small. He won't bother anyone. I'll keep him on my lap."

I said "I don't want him here. He barks, he jumps, and I don't want to worry about him running around with that many people. Plus, what if someone is allergic?"

She got offended. She said "he's part of my family. You're excluding him. It's just a baby shower, not a formal event."

I said "it's my baby shower at my house and I don't want a dog there. I'm sorry but I'm not changing my mind."

Now she's telling our mom I'm being dramatic. My mom says I should just let her bring the dog to keep the peace. My husband says I'm right to hold my ground.

I don't think I'm wrong. It's my house and my party. But I feel like the bad guy because my sister is upset.
