Mechanic Shops

Anyone have any preferred shops they trust in the Cincinnati/ Northern Kentucky region? Preferably that specialize in Japanese brands if able but not a deal breaker.

Energy Costs Electric vs Gas

I currently pay between $70-130/month throughout the year on electric/gas. A new place I was considering moving to also in northern Kentucky doesn’t have gas, it’s all electric so I’m just curious what I could expect my energy costs to be. Leasing company say they’re “energy efficient” for whatever that’s worth. The place was built in the last decade. Last place I lived prior didn’t have gas and sometimes my electric bill would be close to $300/month in the winter months and don’t know if I can expect more of that again in this area with no gas and all electric. What are others paying monthly with all electric especially in the winter with Duke?

Electric heat cost [KY]

Place I was looking at with 2 bed 2 bath units about 1200 sq has electric heating no gas. My main concern is the energy costs in the winter time. The leasing office said depending on usage it shouldn’t be more than $80-100 a month but that’s about what I would pay now in the winter with gas. They say their units are “energy efficient” which I don’t know what that means since I haven’t toured a unit yet or seen what kind of HVAC setup they have but does that cost estimate sound a bit low for winter time usage with electric heating? Place was built about a decade ago. I’ve just come across others with electric heating that have said their energy bills have been anywhere been $200-400 a month in the winter time.
