Best recovery boots for ultra training?

i’ve been getting deeper into longer runs / ultra training and recovery is starting to feel like the part i’m worst at

i keep seeing compression therapy boots come up, but they’re expensive enough that i don’t want to buy them just because they look cool on Instagram. i’m not expecting them to magically fix tired legs or replace sleep/food/easy days, mostly wondering if they actually make a noticeable difference when training volume gets higher

the use case for me would be after long runs, back-to-back days, big vert days, or those weeks where my legs just feel kind of trashed. i’ve tried normal compression socks and stretching/rolling, but boots seem like a bigger commitment

for people here who run ultras or train high mileage, did compression boots end up being worth it? did they actually help you feel fresher, or are they more of a nice-to-have recovery luxury?

Best Airbrush Kit for Beginners?

i’m trying to get into airbrushing and i’m getting a little overwhelmed by all the starter kits

mostly want to use it for small models / hobby stuff, maybe some basic practice pieces while i’m learning. i’m not trying to do anything professional yet, but i also don’t want to buy the cheapest kit possible and then spend the whole time fighting clogs, weak airflow, or a compressor that overheats after 10 minutes

i’ve been looking at beginner airbrush kits with a compressor, but i can’t tell what’s actually worth getting vs what’s just a bundle of random cheap parts. from what i’ve read, a dual-action gravity feed airbrush and a compressor with a tank seems like the better direction, but i’m still very new to this

Heated Cat Bed worth it for a sphynx?

my sphynx is basically a tiny heat-seeking gremlin and i’m trying to make him a better warm spot that isn’t just stealing my blankets 24/7. been looking at heated cat beds, but i’m a little nervous about getting one because i don’t want anything that gets too hot or feels sketchy to leave plugged in. he already loves warm laundry, blankets, and sitting on anything that has even a tiny bit of heat, so i feel like he’d use one constantly. mostly looking for something safe, cozy, easy to clean, and actually warm enough for a sphynx without being too much. not trying to turn this into a product ad or anything, just curious what other sphynx owners have actually had good luck with. do you use a heated bed/pad for yours? if so, what kind of setup worked best?

Best under sink leak mat?

i’m not trying to use a leak mat as an excuse to ignore an actual leak, but i’ve been wondering if they’re worth putting under a sink as cheap insurance for the little stuff

between minor drips, condensation, cleaning product spills, and just the general under-sink mess that seems to happen over time, it feels like that cabinet base is always one annoyance away from getting gross. part of me thinks a mat is just smart prevention, and part of me wonders if it mostly ends up hiding problems longer or trapping moisture where i don’t want it

if you’ve used one, did it actually help protect the cabinet and make cleanup easier? or is there a better way to handle that area without creating a different headache later?

looking for a decent body grooming trimmer and trying to avoid buying something that looks good online but ends up pulling hair, nicking skin, or dying after a few uses. mostly using it for chest / stomach / general body trimming, not really trying to get a super close razor shave. i just want something that trims evenly, isn’t too loud, and is actually comfortable to use without feeling sketchy around more sensitive areas. seen a bunch of waterproof ones and “body groomer” style trimmers, but it’s hard to tell which ones are actually good long term

for people who trim body hair regularly, what body grooming trimmer has been worth it for you?

hey everyone been slowly refining my travel setup around my PD bags and accessories, and one thing i’ve been thinking about lately is how to carry my passport and a few essential cards without it flopping around in my main compartment.. i’ve seen the PD billfold and a couple of other slim wallet options mentioned here and there, but it’s hard to tell which ones actually play nicely with an Everyday Backpack or Everyday Sling organization panel without adding bulk or creating a pocket‑clogging mess.

i’d love to hear what you all use for passports when you’re on the road. something slim that fits in the bag’s internal pocket or quick access area would be ideal and bonus points if it holds a couple cards and maybe some cash too. what ended up being worth carrying with you, and what would you avoid next time?
