Single blade razor doubt

I nees help with something. Currently im using Muhle R41 + Feathers blade, and everytime I shave I bleed. Should I change the blade, or the razor itself to a closed comb. If so, which combination should I try? (Example: closed comb + feathers, or open comb + astra)

Shaving tips for newbie

Hey everyone, I turned 20 this year and also got my first razor, which i have been using form past 4 months. I have tried many techniques from the internet, some say go with the grain some say go against, i have also tried this 3 pass technique, but i am still not able to get a clean shave.

some kind of greyish tint comes on face, or more precisely i would say there are very small stubbles left after shave which i am not able to get rid off

Stainless steel safety razor for women

Hi. I’m looking for a non-plastic safety razor. I don’t know if the metal ones are all made out of stainless steel or some of them are aluminum, but the goal is to have a reusable (possibly forever) handle in which I can change out only the blade, not the whole head. It doesn’t have to be marketed towards women, just for it to be easy(-ish) to use as a woman (legs, armpits, etc.). It will be my first traditional blade razor, so I want it to be as safe as it can be. Plus points if it comes with a holder of some sorts so that it stands upwards on a shelf. Thanks!!

Electric Shaver/trimmer recommendation for sensitive skin

Hello! I have sensitive skin, and quite hard hair. Previously I used a Gillette labs razor (the regular one) because I only had to shave every week or so, and it worked perfectly. Unfortunately during this year the rate my hair grows has increased, and to get a close shave I need to shave every other day. The labs destroyed my face if I use it so often, so I tried the One Blade, which also didn't quite work, irritating. Following advice I see everywhere I tried a DE, which has been a step up, but it takes too much time and also irritates me if I use it more than once every 4 years.

I'm thinking of a electric shaver/trimmer solution, even if the shave it's not baby close (it still has to be close). And before everyone says it, no, I cannot shave less often, it's not an option! I hope this knowledgeable community can help me out!

First time getting started shaving body hair and needed some advice

I (24M) have decided its time to start shaving around my family jewels and I was trying to find good razors or trimmers I should use. Should I use an actual razor and shaving cream or an electric razor? I would love some good recommendations. I tried the Gillette Labs body+intimate razor and it worked okay enough for my first time. I know everything is kinda subjective and up to personal preference but I'll take all the advice I can get. Also this is like my first time posting on reddit

Foil shavers for neck hairs

Just wondering if there’s any foil shavers out there that would trim my neck well? I find my cheeks get a close shave, but my neck hairs aren’t really target well. Any foil servers that will do the trick? I’ve been looking at the Braun series 9 pro. Cheers!

Best shaver / razor for dry shaving?

Fellow ladies and gentleman,

I‘ve been shaving wet my head for about 7 years now, but I was wondering whether it wouldn’t be better for my sensitive skin to switch to dry shaving. Now I am so used to wet shaving that I don’t even know what kind of razor / shaver to look for when going for dry shaving.
Do you guys have any recommendations what brands to look out for? Maybe you even have a good to shaver / suggestion? I‘m primarily looking for something that can cut my hair as short as possible, I want to avoid stubbles and have my head as clean / bald as possible.

Thank you so much and have a nice day

Would it be good to learn how to use a straight razor?

I'm about to turn 20, and figured now would be a good time to learn how to use a straight razor since I'm still young, would this be a wise decision? Budget is like $200 if anybody has recommendations or can point me in the right direction at least

New to shaving my head — does the maintenance get easier?

Finally shaved my head after putting it off for way too long, and the first shave honestly felt great. I liked the look way more than I expected and it was nice not thinking about my hairline anymore.

What I didn’t really think about beforehand was everything that comes after that first shave.

The stubble comes back pretty quickly, I’m still figuring out how often my scalp can handle being shaved, and the back of my head is way more annoying to get right than I expected. Had a few bumps there already too.

I’m guessing most of this is just part of learning what works for your skin and eventually finding a routine.

For those of you who’ve been shaving your head for a long time: what took you the longest to figure out when you first started?

And if you’re new to it too, what part of maintaining it has surprised you the most?

Where the f do I buy razor blades??

So, I bought a safety razor a few months ago and I love it, I can't go back to shaving with disposable ones. Unfortunately (well, fortunately in every other aspect except this one), I have to travel a lot for work, and I thought "Fine, if I ever have to travel by plane I'll just take out the blade and buy some for dirt cheap when I get there, they should be easy to get as everyone says on the internet". WRONG, omg so wrong. Idk if everyone saying that is american and it's actually a thing there, but at least in Paris, Lyon, Barcelona, Copenhagen and London I went to every single supermarket, pharmacy, "ethnic" store, whatever, not a single one sold razor blades, they even looked at me like I was the crazy one for expecting them to sell it. Am I going crazy or was I just extremely unlucky?

Italian men shave pubes?

I am wondering if it really is common for italian men to shave their pubes? Not just trim, but fully shave? I have been seeing posts about it for as long as I can remember and as an american it really surprises me. Are any italians here? Is that your experience also?

Harry’s razors

Currently using Gillette fusion 5 blades, looking at going to Harry’s, how decent are Harry’s razors because Fusion 5 have suddenly gone downhill for me plus blades are expensive.

Braun Nevo in a series 8 fabric case.

I’m ready to pull the trigger on a Nevo - but I really want the lighter fabric travel case (you can only get it in the power case - ugh). Looks like the Nevo is about 6mm thicker than the series 8 I’m upgrading from. Does anyone have the Nevo with either a series 8 or 9 case. Does it fit in ok to travel with?

Are there any aftermarket cases people like? The series 8 case fits perfectly in my toiletry bag.

Thanks.

Body Hair

I trim my body hair every two weeks or so. it's a chore and takes a lot of time. I dont like how the hair looks (it gets pretty long in excess amounts.) Is there a shaver that other men use that is a lot quicker or have an easier way? (Yes, it's weird that I shave my body, and I don't care, I have a lot of muscle, and I like to show it off.)

London please help!!!

Hi
Thank you for reading

Can anyone recommend a decent barber/ hairdresser able to do a decent bald head shave.
I’ve spent the last couple of months travelling south London trying to find someone not offended if you ask them to do a proper job.

I’d like a hot towel prep, scalp exfoliated after the shave a proper service.

Thank you 💕💕💕💕

Braun Series 9 PRO+, is the Cleaning station indicator supposed to ALWAYS come on after use?

So I got the Braun Series 9 PRO+ a few months ago and as far as shaving it works well, but since the day I got it I've noticed it always has this blue water droplet icon after use. The manual says this is the Cleaning station indicator but gives me no further detail about its intent. I have a cleaning station, the one that came with it, so I use it, but next time I shave, bam, the droplets back. Repeat for over a month and I've already gone through 1 and a half of the expensive braun cleaning station tank things. At this point I've just started ignoring the icon, and only do a wash cycle every couple of days, but like, is this how the sensor is supposed to work?

What's the point of even having an led if it never changes? Am I just missing something? If I wait long enough between cleanings does it turn red (no indication of this in the manual). All the other display icons change, such as bars of battery life, but this one icon is just always flashes blue after every shave no matter how thoroughly or frequently I clean it.

Braun 9 Pro+ Is Worth It

Not sure because the head is new but I finally caved and bought this model. I switched to electric after shaving DE for 20 years. Tired of the cuts and breakouts and so on. On a whim I bought at Target the 3 series because it was affordable and wasn’t sure I would stick to this.

In the past month or two I been going back and forth about upgrading considering I haven’t even owned it for a year. Finally the other day I saw Target is selling it $80 less. Still didn’t want the cleaning machine but just can’t find one without that mechanism. Figure the $80 is about the cost of the machine so I pulled the trigger and bought it. 3 or more days growth not only the outcome was painless it was amazing. Took a quarter of the time it takes with the 3 series and the results are phenomenal.

For anyone debating it is worth it I swear to you it is. Now curious is the NEVO really that much better. Don’t get me wrong not going to get it but can’t help but wonder.

Which beard trimmer would you recommend?

I've had 3 different cheap beard trimmers in 4 years. Each one starts losing power after 6 months and the blades start pulling instead of cutting by year 1.

I'm looking for something that'll actually last. I keep a medium-length beard (about 5-10mm) and I trim 2-3 times per week. Budget $60-200.

For people using a quality beard trimmer they've had for 2+ years - which one, and does the battery and blade performance still feel the same as when you bought it?
