Ouki’s words to Shin at the battle of Bayou hold up so well in this current arc
“Delve into and overcome strife and carnage together with your men” is what Ouki said to Shin before he passed at Bayou and it’s fitting that it was at that hands of Riboku. I think this current devastating situation the Hi Shin Unit is facing will be a great lesson and will propel them to new heights. I have been critical of Hara and his writing at times but I love how these moments can tie together so effortlessly if we pay attention. I honestly have looked past the complaints I may have had about the tactics leading up to this point because it has given us these great chapters in the few recent chapters through 881. We criticize the faults of Shin and Ten but how soon we forget that Ouki was bested in similar fashion, and Kanki and even Ousen who managed to barely survive Hango. Let’s show some grace to our protagonist and Hara.
