2 or 1?

Hey all! My husband and I are considering getting 1 or 2 Siberians. In your experience, which is better?

The cats would come from the same litter

Apartment: We live in a city and the cat(s) would have netted balcony access and we would leash train them. We also plan to build a playground area along all the walls so they can exercise.

Lifestyle: we both have home office 3x per week.

Financial: able to afford 2

Highly Recommend PRT as an additional tool for chronic migraines!

Hey all! I have struggled with chronic migraines and have been recently doing Pain Reprocessing Therapy (PRT). It has been enlightening and insanely helpful!

There have also been a few scientific studies on it and it has shown a major reducing in pain days for people.

It should be used as an additional tool and it is recommended to use it on days when pain is mild to moderate.

PRT is based on the idea that sometimes the brain can get stuck in a danger/fear loop, where it keeps sending pain signals even when there isn’t ongoing tissue damage. This isn’t to say, “it’s all in your head”, imaginary or just anxiety. The pain is very very real — but the nervous system becomes overprotective and sensitized.

PRT focuses on teaching the nervous system that sensations are not dangerous.

It includes tools like:
- somatic tracking (observing symptoms without panic or judgement)
- reducing fear around pain
- emotional awareness
- calming the nervous system
- changing catastrophic thought patterns
- gradually returning to activities

It focuses on reducing the brain’s alarm response and lowering the cycle of fear + pain amplification.

I know this approach is not for everyone, and chronic migraine is incredibly complex, but I figured I’d share in case it helps someone!

You can get the workbook online almost anywhere :)
