I’ve spent the last few days researching green grey Moc toes and have finally settled on Brass Boots in Jungle Kangaroo. I have super wide feet (my brannock size is somewhere between an 11.5EEE and 12EEE). I emailed GS and they suggested 11EEE….and of course that is the only size they’re sold out of in any width for the JK lol

How dramatically different is an 11.5 E vs an 11EEE? If I go 11.5EEE will the toe box be too roomy? Have any of my fellow wide foots had luck with sizing up? Am I just cursed to not get these boots?

I love the grey green tones of Red Wings Alpine Portage leather, I wear my Moc toes often and find that the color fits my wardrobe perfectly. Seeing them go from Gray indoors to army green in the sun always makes me happy.

What other grey/green Moc toes are out there? I love this color but it seems fairly uncommon. I have seen the Jungle Kangaroo Brass Boot from Grant Stone but it looks a bit dressy in pics, usually I prefer more rugged looks (am I wrong about these?) All suggestions welcome!

Hi, I’m new to Red Wings and boots in general.

I have nightmare feet: narrow heels, extremely wide yet asymmetrical forefeet, and a very high arch.

I think I should probably be wearing an 11.5EE or even 11EE but i worry about my freakishly narrow heels slipping. I also fell in love with the alpine portage leather which doesn’t come in wide so the RW employee suggested a 12D which I went with.

After about a week they’re starting to get comfy but I worry they look a little goofy.

Does the width on these look ridiculous? I’m sure it’s wiser to get the best fitting boot even if it’s not in my favorite leather, but just wanted to hear some thoughts. Thanks!
