I found this antique drop leaf table on Facebook Marketplace and absolutely love it! Unfortunately, it’s not in the best condition and does have what appears to be mold. I’m not very familiar with furniture restoration, so I’d love some advice from anyone who has experience with this. Is this table salvageable? These photos are from when I first brought it home, but I’ve since given it a thorough scrub with a little original blue Dawn and let it sit in the sun for about an hour after spraying it down with white vinegar. My plan is to strip the existing varnish, lightly sand it, and then re-stain and re-varnish it. I will NOT be painting this, so please no paint suggestions. I’d really love to get it as close as possible to the original color/finish, so I’d especially appreciate recommendations for stain, varnish, or other products/techniques that would help achieve that look. Would love to hear any advice, tips, or things I should know before I start! TIA!

Do any other women have these!? If so, do you feel like they fit well? I absolutely LOVE this color combo and I’m thinking about ordering the men’s size 7. I usually wear a women’s 8 or 8.5, depending on whether they run small. Has anyone else done this? I’d love to hear how they fit for you if so!
