Do you care about your farm aesthetic?

Sometimes I visit people with the most beautiful farm's, and I'm always so amazed. I'd love to be one of y'all decorators, but every time I try it still looks bad and most cool deco is expensive af 😭 If anyone has a cool farm please share I love seeing them

Level 74

I'm on Level 74 and have yet to save enough coins for the Hat Maker and Pasta Kitchen.

I refuse to spend real money, how are people making millions?

Will the mini golf practice path be available for diamonds ever?

I know when HayDay accidently released it the first time, you could buy it for diamonds, but now it is only real money. Does anyone know? I have been saving up my diamonds for it since I don’t want to spend real money lol.

Bees

Any tips on getting the 4th beehive? I feel like I’ve been playing forever and it seems nearly impossible without spending a ton of diamonds and almost everything needs honey at this point. I wish Rose would harvest the beehives like she does the rest of the animals.

Cats are obligate carnivores

I never understood why we give cats milk. Cats are obligate carnivores. As a matter of fact they are lactose intolerant. Cats eat small rodents and birds in the wild. They don’t even fish. Why are we wasting milk “feeding” cats. Why not maybe some beef, chicken, some sort of way to get mice or small birds? That would be cool and make more sense. Poor cats probably have horrible stomachaches.

The coffee bushes annoy me

Coffee grows on trees. Not bushes. I live on a coffee farm. They are trees. I know they've been out for years but still. It feels wrong. I'm probably being dramatic but anyway. They do in fact grow on trees

Purple Flowers

Is anyone else having as difficult a time as I am, acquiring the purple flowers for this event catalog? I have only been able to get 2 items from the catalog, so far (from the items required for the decor collection/album). I collect all the free purple flowers, daily, even from the Supercell Store website.

Am I missing something? Or is this just to push sales? I see they are available to purchase, but normally, there is an abundance of the “currency” needed to buy from these event catalogs.

Boat beta

I’m curious if other people are getting about the same rewards. The beta boat voyage lasts 3 days before reset and the voyage track is 600 miles. I’m comparing this to non beta boat orders.

Currently for non beta you can do 3 boats a day that guarantee a 1 star crate. If you do 3 boats a day for 3 days that’s 9 crates for a total of 27 LEMs.

My track is at 30- 2 land deeds at 70- 1 prosperity crate (choice of 60,100xp or 41,600 gold @ level 145) at 130- 1 puzzle piece at 230- 1 star crate (3 LEM) at 380- 1 puzzle piece and at 600- 2 star crate (6 LEM). It took 9 boat orders to finish my miles which would be equal to the number of non beta boats I was doing to get the 9 crates. Of the 9 beta boat orders, there were 3 boats for 100 miles. 2 of the 3 boats had a 1 star crate. That’s 6 LEM. I had one boat of 65 miles that was for 1 land deed. So, between the voyage miles and 9 boats it was only 18 LEM which is 9 LEM less than non beta for the same amount of boats sent. So far out of the 5 additional boats I’ve sent only one has had 1 land deed and the rest have been all vouchers.

Also, just because a boat has low miles doesn’t mean it will be easy to fill. LOL. I took one for 40 miles that showed grape juice, winter stew, wooly chaps and plums. The rewards were 1 voucher and 2250xp. Imagine my surprise when it wanted 10 grape juice. 😳. I thought it would only ask for about 2 grape juice for those miles and rewards.

I still have 1 day 15 hours before the voyage resets. I’m not going to use a diamond to reset the destinations on the current boats because the reset items might look just as bad as the 3 boats I don’t want to choose from currently. I’ll just use the boat countdown time to refill my stocks. Are others experiencing the same?

Videos for purple flowers?

I saw people on here talking about watching videos and getting purple flowers as rewards but I haven’t seen any video options. Anyone know where I can find these?

Iron, anyone?

Is it just me or has iron been incredibly rare recently? I hardly get any from my mine, there’s often none in the shops - it’s all gold, silver or coal. I understand making things harder so that you have to grind but I feel like this is ridiculous and needs fixing

Casual on and off player's rant.

I honestly can't tell you when I started playing, but I honestly enjoyed the idea of a casual farming game as someone who played mainly Clash of Clans (and still do). The main reasons why I would drop the game was usually boredom, which happens to me a lot with mobile games including Clash.

But trying to get back into this game is such a chore for a few main reasons that I am absolutely positive have been talked into the dirt at this point. But I'll shout into the void anyways.

The main gameplay loop of hay day IS enjoyable. I really like thinking about planting crops that I need -> making sure animals are fed ->producing what is necessary for requests -> and then making any backlog products after.

On the surface the gameplay loop is super tight, relaxing and overall fun as a casual farming game.

But... oh boy does it have problems.

Let me just get to the point.

Dairy in this game is an absolute joke. I see people all the time talk about getting 2-3 alt accounts just to keep up. Why is this the norm? Why is keeping up with hay day more of a full time job than clash of clans of all games? I feel like people just pass over the fact that optimal play in this game requires baby farms to feed your main. And I am incredibly disappointed everytime I come back to the game to see that there hasn't been a single solution.

Also, the newspaper. As soon as town mats and ores unlock for you... stop opening the newspaper. This has been an unresolved problem forever and is another thing that is frustrating everytime I come back to this game.

Products that your farm desperately needs? Nope.

Expansion materials to speed up the grind? Nope.

Ores... ores... ores... maps... ores...

You get the point.

And this is another part of the game where people will tell you "Just make a baby farm". Again, why is this a necessary part of the game that people just lay down and accept?

Now on to my last point.

Wheating.

In a game that seemingly is supposed to be played 4-5 times per day maximum, the game sure does expect you to sit around for HOURS AND HOURS to grind expansion mats, silo and barn upgrades, and saws/axes. I did see that they are offered as boat rewards and truck orders. But 1-2 3x material choice chests is simply a ridiculous slap in the face when you need hundreds and hundreds of materials.

Again, a casual farming game is more grindy and tedious than Clash of Clans is. Let that sink in.

I would just like SOMETHING... ANYTHING at this point. Another dairy perhaps. An overhall of the newspaper. Please just anything man. The game could be sooo good, but it just falls right on its face.

Goats milk for the cats

Now that Hayday have listened and added lamp chops as a way to feed the dogs, they need to add goats milk as a way to feed the cats instead of just cows milk!

Level 100, 12 years later!!

I stopped playing around level 46(?) for a few years then started again on and off around 2018/19 and have been playing consistently for 2 years now. I’m pretty sure I had another account on my dad’s phone but sadly couldn’t recover it otherwise I might’ve reached earlier!
