I think I read this Book at some some point in the last few years and I think it was Part of a standalone small town series. And a contemporary romance Book.

The FMC, I think she is new to town, gets into a car accident because a cat runs across the road and she swerves thus accident. Her car gets taken to the shop where the MMC works or owns? Not sure but I think it was either Family ownend or at least the mother visits him there and talks to the FMC there as well.

She keeps the cat as a pet directly after the accident. Then romance ensues even though the MCs don’t like each other at the beginning.
