I mean, I have nothing against people who don't care about this decision; if they prefer this system, that's their right, and I have no problem with it.

I’m well aware that digital sales volumes are higher, that it’s more convenient, and that it’s in Sony’s best interest.

But I don’t understand the reaction from these players—their aggression...

Ultimately, they’re fighting against people who want more choice, more freedom... I just don’t get it.

Edit : My fundamental issue with the announcement—and this is what I try to explain to those defending Sony or celebrating this move—goes beyond my inability to understand their perspective; it is primarily that the PS5 originally launched with a disc drive, and now Sony is removing an option. If it were just the PS6, I could understand someone telling me, "Look, just be quiet; nobody is forcing you to buy it." How can people not realize that this is wrong?

Je sais, je sais… c’est inutile, ce n’est pas vraiment la même société… mais quand même. Ils doivent nous écouter.

Pensez-vous qu'en annonçant la fin du jeu physique sony se mettra en abus de position dominante et donc devoir en Europe ouvrir la playstation à la concurrence ?

L'annonce de l'arrêt du jeu physique en janvier 2028 est un bon indice.
