I bought an Apple Watch with lte and want to set it up for my kid. signed up for the watch standalone plan, and was instructed to use my phone to set up the watch.

When I setup the watch through my phone, it seems to be asking vzw for the plan and doesn’t give me an option to select us mobile.

Any thoughts on how to actually set this up?

Turns out I’m not great at riding bikes. The TCO and tria I drove to were closed and their websites aren’t helpful.
