Hey! I want to install Linux Mint Xfce on my old Lenovo laptop.

Specs:

i3-4030U, 16GB RAM

119GB SSD (Disk 0): Windows

931GB HDD (Disk 1): photos/videos/documents

I want to replace Windows with Linux on Disk 0 only and leave Disk 1 completely untouched.

My plan is:

Boot Mint from USB and test it.

Install Linux specifically on the 119GB SSD.

Leave the 931GB HDD alone.

I don't currently have an external backup drive.

What's the safest way to ensure the installer doesn't touch the HDD? Would you recommend physically disconnecting the HDD during installation, or is selecting the correct disk enough?

Also, will Linux automatically detect the existing NTFS partitions afterward?

Hi everyone,

I was filling out the MSIT B.Tech Management Quota application. I completed the application, and the portal generated Annexure 1 (PDF) with all my details.

After that, the portal asked me to upload the required documents/details through a Google Form. While I was filling out the Google Form, my session expired before I could click Final Submit on the application portal.

Now I'm confused about a few things:

Does generating Annexure 1 mean my application was saved?

Is there any way to resume the application or complete the final submission?

Should I fill out a new application, or will that create duplicate entries?

Has anyone else faced this issue during the MSIT MQ admission process?

I've already planned to contact the admissions office, but I wanted to know if anyone here has experienced something similar and what happened.

I froze my seat in bca for ipu and paid the fee , and even chose my willingness and locked it , what now ? Is there anything left , i only have the allocation letter and nothing else , what to do , what about document verification?

So I'm considering to join Msit for bca as a degree , any advice any senior can provide ? Is it worth it or not ? Also how is the student society culture and extra curriculars ? Existant or out of equation?
