Canadian bike-packer looking for friends in Belgrade

Hi everyone, my name is Cadell and I’m a 23 year old male from Vancouver, Canada. I’ve been cycling across Europe for 2 and 1/2 months solo, and I will be in Belgrade until Sunday!

I thought I’d put a little post up to try and find some friends, since I’ve found it a little difficult to make friends as a solo traveller here :(

A little bit about me: I’m outgoing, I love any place that’s lively, I love music and going to shows/jazz bars/clubs etc and dancing, and I drink and smoke. Since the world cup is happening, I enjoy watching the games as well. but really, I’m up for any activity, it just want to meet some new people hahaha. Also if anyone rides bikes, I’d love to go for a ride too!

young, old, male, female, easygoing, outgoing, or whatever you are, i’m sure we could get along.

thanks for reading :)

I’m halfway! - Solo tour from London to Istanbul

Hi all, I just wanted to make a little post since I’m halfway on my solo tour from London to Istanbul and I have few people I could tell that would appreciate this achievement! :D

A bit about me: I’m 23 years old from Vancouver, Canada, and this is my first experience with solo travel. I did one previous tour from Vancouver to Seattle to get my setup dialled in and test the waters on bike touring. Other than that, this is all new to me!

Currently I’m at the border between Hungary and Serbia. Technically I am more than halfway, since I took kind of a meandering route through Europe and didn’t go directly from where I landed by ferry in the Netherlands, but whatever xD

A quick overview of my route: London, ferry to Hook of Holland, up Netherlands into Germany (Hamburg, Berlin), Czech Republic (Prague), Poland (Wroław, Kraków), Slovakia (Bardejov, Košice), Hungary (Budapest, Szeged) and now I’m going into Serbia, then Bulgaria, then Turkey!

This has been THE COOLEST thing I’ve ever done and I am super happy I decided to make this insane leap of faith and get past my fears to make this happen. There has been so many ups and downs, but through it all what I’ll remember the most is the amazing people I’ve met along the way and that unshakeable feeling that I’m doing something I’ll remember for the rest of my life!

If anyone has any questions, I’d love to answer them. Either way, I really appreciate this subreddit; it helped me prepare for this trip immensely and it was super valuable in making me feel more confident.

Happy pedalling!

Canadian bike-packer looking for friends in Berlin

Hello, my name is Cadell and I’m a 23 y/o bike-packer from
Vancouver! As the title suggests, I’m in Berlin for the weekend and I’m looking to make friends. Locals, other tourists, old, young, party vibe or not, I don’t care! It’s a big city and so far I haven’t been able to meet anyone:-(
I’ve had success in other places so far just walking around and talking to people, but Berlin is quite big so people just mind their business here. I thought why not put up a post on here, it could lead to something fun!

A bit about me: I’m outgoing and enjoy partying/drinking, I can get along with anyone, I have a camera with me and enjoy taking photos of others and generally just going with the flow and hanging out :)

If you feel like having an outsider join your plans send me a DM! I’d love to meet some other people while I’m here

Thank you/Danke
