Which Chinese games can be played natively (not android) with Wechat login on HarmonyOS?

Recruiting my fellow Chinese people (or anyone that plays games LOL) for this - just to confirm, I don't want any android game recs cos I have an android phone

I have the Pura X and I wanna play more HarmonyOS native games because they just run better but so far these few games are the only ones I've found that can use a Global Wechat login (and that I can play on the outer screen) that don't require me to have a Chinese ID :

  • Naruto  火影忍者
  • 天天爱消除 (craz3 match game)
  • 桃源深处有人家 - peach valley farming sim

I wanna play games like QQ racing but obvs they have the Chinese ID age restriction pop-up, if anyone knows any other games that work that would be great - Idc about the genre of game, just want a masterlist basically

Another reason I wanna play native games is that it also works on the external screen lol, wanna make as much use of it as I can

TY to anyone that can help!!

Lilxbao's girls trip

I just watched her video on Youtube and ngl, I thought it was so cute lol - I feel like if I went on this trip I would've LOVED IT cos all the places she took the gals to were fun and I just feel like the vibe was so good?? She's actually decent as a girl's trip tour guide

I also love travelling and this is making me wanna be a tour guide ngl LOL, it seems stressful as HELL though

I thought it was so fun how they did the speeddating event with the 15 male escorts (idk if they were just rental bfs or actual escorts) + the hot guy massage and that the girls were clearly enjoying themselves so much that they made plans with the guys outside of the OG tour LOL

ANyway what are your thoughts! This is making me wanna go on a girls trip lol

UK Network bands on Harmony OS Next device 0- defaults to 2g

Hey team! Just got around to moving over my 5g giffgaff sim card and tested the network on my pura X, it defaults to 2g due to the lack of band support

Does anyone know if it's the same with most UK networks (if not, which ones work lol) and if not how do you guys get your internet to work quicker on a UK network/if that's possible

I still have my android phone that I can move the sim card back to, so if there's no alternative I'll just keep using that LOL - idm since I need both phones anyway

TY!

Tips for improving game lag on Easyabroad/Droitong on HarmonyOS next?

So obviously the global apps all run on an Android emu and this is totally wishful thinking LOL, but does anyone have any good ways of running higher graphical intensity emu games?

Examples are genshin impact global ver, infinity nikki, NTE (neverness to everness) - I tried downloading the chinese version but they need you to confirm your age with a chinese ID number so I can't test how quick those games run vs the android emu

I tried the games on my android phone again and obvs they run way smoother which is a given since they're not running on emu

Even on super low settings there's lag so If anyone has cool tips or hacks lemme know 😄 I'm not too worried since I still have an android phone to play them on, but it would be amazing if I could get them running to a playable level (by my standards) on a Pura x

TY!

Hey guys, so I have a Pura X and I can't log in to the Chinese ver of Xiaohongshu (which I see might not be a regional issue, but a HarmonyOS issue) with my international number

[EDIT] fyi the Chinese version is the same as the app on appgallery, so I can't just download the appgallery version since this is the region locked one/harmonyOS restricted one

To confirm, when I was in China it actually let me log in with my global Huawei account (not via my UK number) but I logged out before coming back to the UK since it's still not the main account I want to use. I kind of regret logging out now LOL

Now in the UK, if I try to click the Huawei login it gives me the error shown in pic 1 and 2 - and I can't log in at all

I can also confirm the app was fully uninstalled while I tried all the below fixes.

I've tried:

  • Logging in with my UK phone number - received verification code, put it in and I get error from pic 1 (translation in pic 2) confirming that I should log in via Android or IOS device
  • Logging in with a password - got the same error as pics 1 and 2
  • Downloading an APK online and installing it via Droitong, get the error in pic 3 showing 'This app is now available for Harmony OS NEXT' which prompts me to install the chinese app
  • Editing the APK package name and installing that APK, Harmony OS gives the same error in pic 3
  • Editing the signature on the APK package too, this got me further and I hit the error in pic 4 - which just shows that the install isn't supported by Droitong, no HarmonyOS error message here
  • Using aurora store, downloading Rednote there - it gives me the same error as pic 3 [EDIT]
  • Have now tried using APKtoolm on another Android device to rewrite package name - it can install the app but app instantly closes *Tried resigning package too along with package rewrite and app instantly closes

Now LOL, I feel like I've genuinely tried everything short of decompiling this app which I've read is a risky process - I just wanna check if anyone has any more ideas?

For ref I've spoken to another user in length about this, and they've just shown me that they can actually see the global REDnote version in their appgallery and easyabroad, but I get the error message in pic 5 saying that 'Google Play' can't find the app.

I wonder if this is a recent issue since other people are able to see REDnote and not me, but would deeply appreciate any advice!

Hey guys, I got the Pura X signed in on a chinese account to access all the china-only content and it looks like I'll also need to use the chinese huawei health app to connect my watch

Just confirming if there's a way I can export old data to move it to new account? If not, if I reset my watch the data on my old account won't be deleted right?

I'm not too sad about disconnecting my watch from my old account, but if there's a way to port the info over that would be amazing lol

To confirm this is the Pura X and NOT the X Max

I feel like there were a lot of unanswered questions before I left for China about compatibility, but now that I have one I can answer all the questions lol

If anyone wants to know what works and what doesn't lmk!

[EDITED and updated some sections ty to u/anthoo5 and u/flyisthelimit

- you can make a huawei china account just on the website using region:China to access and use the default apps!! No issues accessing them after I made this ]

[Also edited this part - Wechat is region locked] Some of the apps on the device are region locked so while you can download a bunch of android apps (basically all of them), the ones that are pre built on the device or have ONLY Chinese counterparts currently can't be downloaded (i.e. if you have the global version of Wechat since it has a Chinese only versions you won't be able to download the global version).

[Edited to add] Also for ref you can only add appgallery downloaded apps to the outer screen, if you download apps through Droitong or Easyabroad they can't be added - and to enable regular appgallery apps to be downloaded to outer screen you can enable developer options and enable external screen settings.

Basically this means that only chinese apps get to go on the outer screen, and due to gov restrictions some of these apps need you to have a chinese phone number or wechat account to log in and use. Example is wechat mentioned above, and some games which require a wechat login too or phone number.

One reason I got this phone is because I wanna link my Huawei laptop, watch and phone and start using the ecosystem - but huawei health on this phone has that chinese counterpart, and the app errors just say 'you need to log in to a chinese mainland account' to use it etc.

If you have history on an outside of china huawei health account you'd need to log into the chinese account, not sure if that would cause any repercussions or issues outside of china but I'll try it out!
