2 parking tickets from Power Parking for parking in a company parking lot I should be able to park in.

Started a new job down town. As part of my onboarding process, I was advised parking in the parking lot is free, but I had to give my boss my vehicles plates to park in the parking lot, which I did 3 weeks ago, so I did my part. Myself and 6 other new hires all received a parking ticket earlier this week. I told my boss who said he would take care of it. Next day, he said it was all resolved. Friday comes around, I received another ticket. My boss said he would escalate it this coming week, but I have little faith they will resolve it.

Called Power Parking, who said they have no record of my plates being in their system. The tickets are $90 each, which I will not pay. They said if I pay $20 per ticket, they will dismiss the tickets. Otherwise, they said they need proof of a parking pass, which I was told by my company they don’t have that? I have 30 days to pay each ticket. My main concern is if this gets reported to a credit bureau, I don’t want it to lower my score. I will continue parking here, regardless of how many tickets I receive, because I have nowhere else to reasonably park.

I’ve thought about paying them with a credit card, then disputing it as a punitive measure against Power Parking.

How would you go about resolving this. Besides continuing to raise the issue with my company, and hope that actually goes somewhere?
