Who else has attended the free film “National Emergency Briefing” on the UK’s weather and Climate?

Last night I went with a mate to see this film. It’s fronted by Chris Packham and is a 1 hour edit of 10 expert presentations made to MP’s, business and community leaders last November. Its message is pretty stark. An example take away being, that without immediate and significant wide scale change, this is the coolest and most stable climate the UK will have in our lifetimes. I just wondered if anyone else has seen it yet, and if so what your thoughts on it were?

Newly installed rimless toilet - flush missing part of bowl

Weird one perhaps. We’ve just had a rimless loo installed. Not had one before so maybe this is normal but the water from the flush doesn’t wash fully round the bowl. It leaves this red shaded area untouched.

Is this normal? And if not, what’s the fix? It’s a dual flush (same thing happens on both full and partial flush) with the cistern in the little cabinet behind the loo

Prepping for painting

Hi All, looking for some guidance primarily on how I prep these window reveals for painting. On the edges the plasterers have obviously used this metal edging strip. With some of it exposed on the very edges, do I need to apply some sort of coating to it before painting, or can I mist/paint straight over the top?

Also, the sills have been left just plastered like the rest of the reveal, no wooden sill. Is this a more modern style? Any advice on how to protect the sills from knocks and things (it’s going to be my kids bedroom)

Brand new tap. Should it really dribble this long?

Brand new tap fitted. It seems really weird that it dribbles for this long. I used a similar designed mixer tap in a public restroom today and it shut off straight away. Is it just a faulty tap? Or a poor design? It irritates the hell out of me
